King of Anything by Sara Bareilles

Today started out pretty rough. Even though I keep going to bed really early, when my alarm goes off in the morning I am just not ready to get up. I was in my regular routine this morning and having breakfast. Somehow as I was sitting on the couch with my bowl of cereal in hand, I tipped it and spilled milk and cereal on my skirt, tights, shoes, and the floor. Sometimes I stit on the couch and sometimes I sit at the table.... I may have learned my lesson and will sit at the table from now on. Well that meant I had to go change. I had really wanted to wear a skirt, so I thought I'd try another, which really didn't go with the rest of what I was wearing. So I scratched the whole idea. I grabbed my favorite pair of dress pants and a new long sleeve shirt. This looked pretty boring to me, so I put on a new skinny belt, which really added something to it. I ended up being pretty happy with something I put together so quickly, since I was really bummed about the spilled cereal.

Luckily, my bad day ended there. School was great. The kids seem to be less sick, or at least the ones who don't feel well are staying home. We only had 10 today. They are getting better at coughing into their arm, and I haven't seen as many pick their noses! Also, I've been really happy with how they've handled having a new teacher. They all knew that their teacher was going to have a baby, and having me in her place is no big deal to them. All the kids know my name, and don't have any confusion with my last name, since they call me Miss Diana. It makes life so easy :)

Tonight the hubster and I are going to see a short musical done by 3 of our high school kids (who I know from the HS choir). They are doing Tick, Tick... Boom by Jonathan Larson. He is the man who also wrote RENT. They have already won awards for their performance and are about to perform at a regional competiton in Atlanta. All three of the them are good students and seem to excel in theatre. The performances are to help them raise money to go to Atlanta. Its also always good practice in front of an audience!!!

After that its time to meet up with the ladies to watch Grey's Anatomy. Its always a good time :)

Well here is my outfit that I rushed to put together and was pretty happy with this morning. Simple and comfortable.. two good things for teachers' outfits.

Shirt: Gap / Belt: Charlotte Russe / Pants: Peebles / Shoes: Clarks

The shirt was a great deal. It came to $3 and some change. Its also a magenta color that I don't own anything in. It fits pretty perfectly!

Hope you enjoyed my long post today. I thought some of my recent ones have been kind of short, so I decided to make up for it today. :)
