Drink To That All Night by Jerrod Niemann

I never used to talk about the weather very much. Now I talk about it all the time due to working at a golf course. Yesterday it was 70 degrees and sunny! After work I took Bentley for a run, checked out the neighborhood of a house we might move into, did dishes, laundry, and a regular clean up of the house, made potato salad and went to one of our friend's houses for a birthday cookout. The weather really gave me the motivation to get stuff done yesterday. I love those kind of days. In other news we may be moving out of our townhouse into a house with a fenced in backyard and garage... details to come!

There seem to have been a lot of birthdays lately. Last night was a birthday cookout, the weekend before was a surprise birthday dinner, and one of my best friends turned another year older this week. This outfit was what I wore to the surprise birthday dinner. We went to a restaurant in downtown Tacoma that has the best view of the city as well as awesome food. I like to be dressy casual for most events with friends and thought this one fit the bill.

Mayberry by Rascal Flatts

I swear everytime I go to write a blog post, Bentley needs more of my attention. He sees me typing on my laptop and gets up from his lounging spot to have me throw a ball for him. So I write a little, throw the ball, write a little more. But now he's entertained with a water bottle to chew on, so I can get back to writing this blog post. Anyway, I'm glad its finally spring time. I'm also glad to take on some pacific northwest rainy days vs snowy days back home. I planted some primrose flowers which love this current weather we're having and whenever its sunny I like to take Bentley out for walks or to the park. When the weather gets just a bit warmer Hubby and I are planning to go camping! We got a tent, sleeping bag, air mattress (camping comfortably), backpacks, and water bottles for our upcoming adventures of camping and hiking. There are some awesome places around here to explore.

Shirt: Bought on vacation in St. Thomas / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Steve Madden / Earrings: American Eagle

I wore this outfit for St. Patrick's Day weekend. I bought this shirt in St. Thomas when it cooled down one night and I was cold after a day of sunning on the beach. Tough life in the caribbean. Anyway, the horseshoe says Feelin Lucky, which is cute and fitting for St. Patrick's Day.

Chillin' It by Cole Swindell

This weekend it snowed a whole two inches! It started Saturday night when we went out to dinner with some friends, continued all night, and didn't melt away till Monday! And the best part was that Hubby and I both had Sunday off and could enjoy it, and give Bentley his first real experience of playing in the snow. So we bundled up, went for a snow covered walk on the trails in our town and loved every minute of it. I took a few pictures because it was so beautiful and we fully enjoyed some sweet family time playing outside and snuggling up on the couch. We are also fully inspired to go skiing next weekend, which will be Hubby's first time and my first time in quite a few years. :)
Sweater: Old Navy / Skinny jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Crocs / Scarf: Target / Earrings: Old Navy

Part of the reason that I haven't been posting as daily as I used to is because I wear pretty much the same thing to work everyday. In the warmer months, I wear a black polo with the golf course logo, dress pants, and black flats. In the colder months, I wear a black sweater, dress pants, and black boots. Occasionally I'll add color with scarves and accessories, like this outfit, which makes it a little more blog worthy :)

Story of My Life by One Direction

Are you excited for the Superbowl? We are around here! I went food shopping with a friend yesterday to get things for our party on Sunday. We will in fact have two Broncos fans at the party, surrounded by Seahawks fans in Seahawks territory, but that's what you get in the military. There is some serious 12th man spirit in western Washington! In other news, my camera broke. I don't know what happened to it, but it won't take pictures. But good news, Hubby got me an awesome new Canon camera for Christmas! However I'm still playing around and working on how I should take outfit pictures with it. So in the meantime taking pictures on my iPhone is easiest and still looks the same to the other pictures.
Sweater: Old Navy / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: American Eagle / Flats: Old Navy / Earrings: American Eagle / Necklace: Old Navy

It was a rainy day yesterday till the sun broke through the clouds and turned it into a pretty day. On gloomy days I like to wear fun bright colors to counteract the weather. You don't get much brighter and happier than yellow! And Bentley always likes to be right by my side, and the first picture was just too perfect a way to prove it to you! :)

Timber by Pitbull featuring Ke$ha

My facebook feed is currently about the weather and the state of the union address from last night. I'm happy to say I can't complain about either. Our 50* slightly rainy weather is much better than the harsh freezing weather that is effecting most of my friends and family and closing schools, and I watched The Bachelor wedding with the girls last night instead of the President's speech, so I have no opinions on the matter. Its just another regular work day for me and I'm looking forward to the weekend and the superbowl! Go Seahawks!!!
Shirt: Target / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: Buckle / Shoes: Old Navy / Earrings: Walmart / Necklace: Macy's

This outfit is mostly new things from Christmas. I wore this to Sunday brunch with Hubby. It was perfectly comfortable yet put together instead of wearing yoga pants and a sweatshirt. The top is practically made for pajamas and the moccasins are pillows for your feet. Works for me!

You Sound Good To Me by Lucy Hale

I am currently sitting on the couch, with Hubby's legs on my lap who's enjoying this relaxing day after getting two of his wisdom teeth pulled yesterday, listening to music, catching up on some blog reading, and stalking facebook pictures of the undergrad sisters of my sorority who are going through recruitment week. This is one of those moments, besides the holidays, when Washington is too far from PA/OH/NY. West Virginia was much closer. I miss my sisters lots and lots, and all my friends and family, but am looking forward to a trip home in April (hopefully!). Recruitment week is the best. Lots of time spent bonding with your sisters, meeting lots of new girls and introducing them to greek life, and all the excitement that goes with it. I was able to help out the past two years which was a blast. Its fun to be in the background and do all the behind the scene stuff, including matching bids. Plus I was able to be there to pick up my own sister and then spend the week with her the second year. So I wish the greeks at Westminster College all the best and hope they enjoy every minute of final night tonight and bid day tomorrow!

This is the outfit I wore on Saturday to watch the Seattle Seahawks beat the New Orleans Saints for their chance to get closer to the Superbowl!!! Hubby and I are glad that if the Bills and Browns can't make it to the playoffs, that at least our new home team can. Its easy for me to dress up for the seahawks since I have plenty of blue and green in my closet. Plus I'm in love with this target sweater, which I also have in red, and the old navy vest, which I also have in black, and the old navy shoes, which I also have in blue. I had some Christmas money's to spend so when I found the stores still had them in different colors, I went for it. :)

I Lived by OneRepublic

Happy Friday! I'm enjoying this relaxing morning with Bentley before I work this afternoon. He is currently chewing his ball on the couch next to me and every so often it falls off the couch and he looks to me to pick it up for him. I do it because he's enjoying himself and staying out of trouble this way. Hopefully we have decent weather this weekend so we can go to the dog park for awhile and get out some energy. We went on a long walk with another resident's spouse and her dog (and adorable sleeping baby) on the trails throughout our town yesterday which was just what the little boy needed. The East coast is having a polar vortex, but we're having 40s and rain, which isn't much more fun. In other wonderful news, Hubby took his Step 3 Boards back in December and found out this week that he passed and received his best score yet! Also he has found out that we are officially staying here for 2.5 more years. He also switches to the newborn service today which has pretty decent hours so that will be wonderful! There will be a date night this weekend to celebrate for sure! :)

Shirt: Loft / Vest: Old Navy / Jeans: American Eagle / Shoes: Bobs / Scarf: Old Navy / Earrings: Old Navy / Hipster: Vera Bradley's Bittersweet Symphony

Sometimes I like to match outfits to my Vera Bradley purses. Most of the time I wear solids and let the print stand out on its own, sometimes I like to pattern mix with something kind of neutral to make things more exciting. Well the purse is a Christmas present and I recently got the scarf as well and knew I had to pair them. The stripes were a nice neutral pattern to go with the floral and houndstooth of the VB print. Sometimes I think I should be a VB model, right? Lol!

Oh yea, and Bentley wears argyle. Very well if I do say so myself :)
