Lost photos

I realized when I was looking through posts on the blog that there were outfit pictures I took that ended up in drafts and never posted. They were never posted because I didn't have the time to write anything to go with the pictures. So I decided that before I get into current topics and outfit pictures, I'd share some of the old ones that never made it out! Just a little nostalgia (maybe for my pre-pregnancy body, lol) of some things I have worn in the past year, all taken from the old townhouse, not the new house.

Mayberry by Rascal Flatts

I swear everytime I go to write a blog post, Bentley needs more of my attention. He sees me typing on my laptop and gets up from his lounging spot to have me throw a ball for him. So I write a little, throw the ball, write a little more. But now he's entertained with a water bottle to chew on, so I can get back to writing this blog post. Anyway, I'm glad its finally spring time. I'm also glad to take on some pacific northwest rainy days vs snowy days back home. I planted some primrose flowers which love this current weather we're having and whenever its sunny I like to take Bentley out for walks or to the park. When the weather gets just a bit warmer Hubby and I are planning to go camping! We got a tent, sleeping bag, air mattress (camping comfortably), backpacks, and water bottles for our upcoming adventures of camping and hiking. There are some awesome places around here to explore.

Shirt: Bought on vacation in St. Thomas / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Steve Madden / Earrings: American Eagle

I wore this outfit for St. Patrick's Day weekend. I bought this shirt in St. Thomas when it cooled down one night and I was cold after a day of sunning on the beach. Tough life in the caribbean. Anyway, the horseshoe says Feelin Lucky, which is cute and fitting for St. Patrick's Day.

Story of My Life by One Direction

Are you excited for the Superbowl? We are around here! I went food shopping with a friend yesterday to get things for our party on Sunday. We will in fact have two Broncos fans at the party, surrounded by Seahawks fans in Seahawks territory, but that's what you get in the military. There is some serious 12th man spirit in western Washington! In other news, my camera broke. I don't know what happened to it, but it won't take pictures. But good news, Hubby got me an awesome new Canon camera for Christmas! However I'm still playing around and working on how I should take outfit pictures with it. So in the meantime taking pictures on my iPhone is easiest and still looks the same to the other pictures.
Sweater: Old Navy / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: American Eagle / Flats: Old Navy / Earrings: American Eagle / Necklace: Old Navy

It was a rainy day yesterday till the sun broke through the clouds and turned it into a pretty day. On gloomy days I like to wear fun bright colors to counteract the weather. You don't get much brighter and happier than yellow! And Bentley always likes to be right by my side, and the first picture was just too perfect a way to prove it to you! :)

Timber by Pitbull featuring Ke$ha

My facebook feed is currently about the weather and the state of the union address from last night. I'm happy to say I can't complain about either. Our 50* slightly rainy weather is much better than the harsh freezing weather that is effecting most of my friends and family and closing schools, and I watched The Bachelor wedding with the girls last night instead of the President's speech, so I have no opinions on the matter. Its just another regular work day for me and I'm looking forward to the weekend and the superbowl! Go Seahawks!!!
Shirt: Target / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: Buckle / Shoes: Old Navy / Earrings: Walmart / Necklace: Macy's

This outfit is mostly new things from Christmas. I wore this to Sunday brunch with Hubby. It was perfectly comfortable yet put together instead of wearing yoga pants and a sweatshirt. The top is practically made for pajamas and the moccasins are pillows for your feet. Works for me!

You Sound Good To Me by Lucy Hale

I am currently sitting on the couch, with Hubby's legs on my lap who's enjoying this relaxing day after getting two of his wisdom teeth pulled yesterday, listening to music, catching up on some blog reading, and stalking facebook pictures of the undergrad sisters of my sorority who are going through recruitment week. This is one of those moments, besides the holidays, when Washington is too far from PA/OH/NY. West Virginia was much closer. I miss my sisters lots and lots, and all my friends and family, but am looking forward to a trip home in April (hopefully!). Recruitment week is the best. Lots of time spent bonding with your sisters, meeting lots of new girls and introducing them to greek life, and all the excitement that goes with it. I was able to help out the past two years which was a blast. Its fun to be in the background and do all the behind the scene stuff, including matching bids. Plus I was able to be there to pick up my own sister and then spend the week with her the second year. So I wish the greeks at Westminster College all the best and hope they enjoy every minute of final night tonight and bid day tomorrow!
Sweater: Old Navy / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: American Eagle / Shoes: Old Navy / Earrings: NY&Co. / Seahawks Bracelet: Christmas present

Vest: Old Navy

Bid Day 2006, the day I joined KD

Bid Day 2012, right after my sister revealed her match to KD

Up close of the Seahawks bracelet

This is the outfit I wore on Saturday to watch the Seattle Seahawks beat the New Orleans Saints for their chance to get closer to the Superbowl!!! Hubby and I are glad that if the Bills and Browns can't make it to the playoffs, that at least our new home team can. Its easy for me to dress up for the seahawks since I have plenty of blue and green in my closet. Plus I'm in love with this target sweater, which I also have in red, and the old navy vest, which I also have in black, and the old navy shoes, which I also have in blue. I had some Christmas money's to spend so when I found the stores still had them in different colors, I went for it. :)

Diamonds and Hearts by Chris Sigfried and Desiree Hartsock

Merry Christmas Eve! I am taking a break from getting things ready for Christmas before getting myself ready for work to write this post. All the presents are wrapped and under the tree, the food has been purchased and will need to get started tonight, and my laptop will be charged so we can skype with our families. Hubby works all day today and tomorrow, but hopefully will be able to leave early tomorrow. [I don't know how long I can wait to open presents! LOL!] Bentley has been on the nice list when it comes to not destroying the tree or presents underneath it, so I'm very proud of him and I know he's going to be excited to open his own presents. Tonight after we both get off work is to hang out with some friends and play games, just the right thing to be doing the night of Christmas Eve on our first Christmas away from family.
Sweater: Target / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: American Eagle / Heels: Shoe Show / Scarf: Christmas gift / Earrings: NY&Co.

This sweater is one of my favorites. Target definitely gets it right. I really have a lack of red in my closet, so when I found this sweater I was really excited. The scarf was a perfect addition to make it look like I'm ready for the holidays. And I definitely am :)

Oh, and this happened. Yes, we met Desiree and Chris from The Bachelorette!!! They were just as awesome in real life as they were on the show. Love them!!!!

Give Me Everything by Pitbull

Good news! Hubby's car was fixable and wasn't even too expensive. And now my car is all fixed up too. I'm glad our vehicles are back in good shape and they were both quick fixes. Now I need to get the guest room back in good shape for my brother who is coming to visit us next week. Although currently I'm still working on our bedroom. I showed the pictures of our townhouse to you a couple months ago, and it was pretty much done, however I felt as though our bedroom could still use a little finishing touches. So I started working on it again yesterday. I've rearranged the stuff in my bookshelf, moved the little shelf to hold purses, and added a few things here and there to make it look more put together. I'm already much happier. Once we get a new headboard and the new art work for above the bed come in, it should be finished. I'm really happy with how our whole house has turned out, and can't wait to decorate for Christmas!!! :)
Shirt: Old Navy / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: American Eagle / Shoes: Toms / Scarf: Space Needle gift shop

Jacket: Old Navy

Finished desk space, part of our bedroom update, with my new may books!!!

I love to pair green and purple together. They are my favorite colors, so when I'm wearing them, I always feel good. Which is why when I was personalizing my maybooks, I chose to make them purple and green. Have you heard of them? I found them on instagram when another blogger posted a picture of her new one. I love them! I always write things down in an agenda or to do list, so I got two so I could have both an agenda and to do list notebook. :)

Sunny and 75 by Joe Nichols

Happy Hump Day! It seems that the "rainy season" has started here in the Pacific Northwest. Nothing like a cool, rainy morning to make you want to stay in bed all day cuddled up with Hubby and the puppy, but its a Wednesday not a weekend, so we're both off to work. But the weather says a sunny and 64 degree day tomorrow on my day off, so I'll take it! I'll be doing some cleaning for our upcoming house guest - medical school friend who's doing an audition rotation/interview at Hubby's hospital - but will be productive because little Bentley is getting neutered and will be at the vet all day. My poor little baby boy...

Tank: H&M / Cami: Aeropostale / Pants: Abercrombie and Fitch / Flats: American Eagle / Earrings: American Eagle

This was a great summer outfit. I love this tank top and the sheerness on top. I usually think to pair orange with navy like Syracuse colors or with black like Halloween colors. I've also recently paired it with pink that I'll share soon.

Reasons for not being so active here lately...

I have some explaining to do. I have reasons to why I've been away from the blog so much this summer. First, we moved. Packed up the apartment in West Virginia, said goodbye to our Pittsburgh friends, drove back to Lewisburg for Hubby's graduation, and then drove across the country to Washington. Then we had to unpack, get things settled in, take a few trips to IKEA, start making new friends, and we adopted a puppy. My parents drove my car across the country a few weeks later and spent a week with us. Then things settled down for about a week. Then my Dad got sick from a virus. I ended up going home for two weeks in the middle of July to see him. He started to get better when I left. Hubby had started work, Bentley started puppy classes, and I started becoming good friends with another surgeon's wife and applying for jobs. My friend flew out for a few fun days to visit. Then I flew back home with my uncle so that we could go to our family reunion and see my dad who was now in rehab after his 40 day hospital stay, and that's when my grandpa had a stroke. I was able to see him in the hospital while I was home. We flew back home a couple days later. I was hired as a Golf Shop Assistant at a course in our new town. Then last Tuesday while I was walking Bentley in the morning, my mom called to tell me things were not getting better for my grandpa and she was on her way to see him. He passed away that afternoon. Hubby was able to get a weekend pass and fly home with me for the funeral. So its been quite the summer. And hopefully things will calm down for a while, and I can spend more time back in the fun world of blogging.
Shirt: American Eagle / Pants: American Eagle / Cardigan: Aeropostale / Flats: American Eagle / Earrings: American Eagle

I was so excited to find this cardigan at Aeropostale. I had been looking for one like this and it was on sale for $7! The rest of the outfit all happens to be from American Eagle. I liked the color combination of the mint and the blue, so white was a nice neutral choice to finish off the outfit.

Safe and Sound by Capitol Cities

I'm very excited to start showing you pictures of our new townhouse. After many trips to ikea and target, it looks fantastic! I'm so proud of what we've done and thankful to my hubby, parents, and friend Krista for all their help. It's much more updated and our style. Either tomorrow or Monday I will start the townhouse tour!
Shirt: Target / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: American Eagle / Heels: Target / Earrings: Target

This is what I wore to a recent Mariners game. I found the shoes at target and didn't buy them right away. When I went back they were still there and were the only pair left and happened to be in my size. So I picked them up and realized they matched the mariners teal. Perfect match with this shirt! :)

Everything Has Changed by Taylor Swift

This post is going to take longer than usual to write because Bentley always thinks that while mommy is on the computer it's playtime. And he currently really wants to play tug of war with his squeaky deer. So I type a few words then give him some attention. Anyway, I'm so happy because I have a new outfit picture for you today! I've debated doing outdoor pictures but since Hubby is not a reliable photographer due to his crazy intern schedule and I don't have a camera remote to do it with a tripod, I'm going to still use my mirror and take the pictures. Excuse the dirty mirror though, Bentley really enjoyed looking at himself in it and giving himself kisses - it was adorable, and I hadn't cleaned it when I took this picture. So that's why there's a line across my face. But here it is, a new outfit picture from our new house!

Tank: Old Navy / Cami: Aeropostale / Shorts: Old Navy / Shoes: Sperry's / Earrings: Stella and Dot

I wore this outfit to an intern picnic. It was a very warm day and a casual event to meet all the other interns of the hospital as well as some of the doctors they are working with. I love these shorts from Old Navy because they are the perfect length for me. I don't like shorts that are super short on me, and I feel the longer ones look a little more appropriate for all events. And this tank just happened to have the same blue in it and go perfectly :)

Clarity by Zedd

Happy belated Fathers Day to all the Dad's out there! I'm excited that mine will be here this afternoon to be able to celebrate, since they were in Montana yesterday on their way here. Yes, my parents are visiting! They have always helped us move in the past, and didn't really this time, but when you have packers and movers, you don't need much extra help. So they are driving my car (so that Hubby and I could split the driving in his) and planning to help us with the stuff that isn't finished around here yet. And after another trip to IKEA this morning, we might have some building to do when they get here! :)
Shirt: Wet Seal / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: Peebles / Shoes: Clarks / Sweater: Ralph Lauren / Earrings: Stella and Dot

This outfit was for one of the last cooler days in Weirton, and final day of the dance competition. It was perfect since we did a little walking outside after my dancers were done and before the awards ceremony. This weekend was their recital, which I heard went really well, so I'm proud of my dancers!

The Other Side by Jason Derulo

Happy Friday! I'm looking forward to the weekend to get things finished up around here. Our empty moving boxes are being picked up today, things will be put up on the walls tonight, and we'll be cleaning up the bedrooms. That means I can take pictures and share them with you! Its also good timing because my parents will be here on Monday! There will still be a few changes to come, like adding curtains, planting flowers, and possibly a few new furniture pieces, but for now we're good. :)
Shirt: Target / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: American Eagle / Flats: Old Navy / Earrings: NY & Co.

Still sharing outfits that I have from Weirton. This is perfect for the weather we're having right now. Its been in the 60s for most of the week, but when the sun shines it is really warm... so much so that I laid out by our pool and got some color the other day! Everyone back home has had rain... but not us!
