Guess what day it is? Hubby's Birthday! Did you guess New Years Eve? Well its that too! So party on!!! Anyway, its gonna be a good day in St. Thomas. We'll enjoy a day in the sun, and then party it up at night. Who doesn't like spending their birthday in the caribbean? Hopefully we'll see some fireworks just like this:

And then listen to this:

Hope you have a wonderful evening and bring in the New Year right! :)

Soak Up The Sun by Sheryl Crow

It is our first full day in St. Thomas. The whole family has arrived and now its time to enjoy vacation. This is the first of the outfit pictures that I took before we left for Christmas. I'm hoping to look a lot more tan in these outfits in real life... you'll get to see some of those pictures when I get back. You will also notice that my hair looks the same in the next few days of pictures, because I took them all on the same day. :)
Polo: Abercrombie and Fitch / Jeans: American Eagle / Flip Flops: Abercrombie and Fitch

Also, most of these pictures don't have many accessories. I will probably wear a few more in real life... but I like to keep it simple on the beach!

Leavin' On A Jet Plane by John Denver

I am writing this post from the Washington Dulles airport. Its already been a long morning, since we left the house at 3:30am!!!! I only got an hour of sleep last night, but it'll all be worth it when I can take a nap on the beach this afternoon. I wish I had taken a picture of my outfit today since I was very proud of my layering for cold weather to warm weather, but there's only so much you can ask of a person at 3 in the morning... and I was not up for posing for pictures. I will leave you with this picture from Christmas... my secret santa gift from hubby.

Look at the pup looking on as if he wants to cuddle in the snuggie with me :)

The Pina Colada Song by Jimmy Buffett

Tomorrow this is where my family is headed to. I am so excited to lay on the beach everyday, soak up some rays, swim in the pools and the ocean, and enjoy the company of 11 members of my family. The high is 85 and the low is 75 for everyday we are there. I think a great time will be had.

The resort

One of the views from our room

Just one of the many pools, that overlook the ocean

The amazing view of the harbor

Now, I'll be gone, but there will still be outfit posts here everyday, so don't forget about me because I'm on vacation!!! I love you all so much that I took some outfit pics of possible vacation outfits. :)

My Favorite Things from The Sound of Music

Merry Christmas Eve! Today we went to breakfast at our pastor's house, my brother and I went out for a few errands, we went to my grandparent's house for dinner and to open gifts, and now I'm relaxing with the family, watching The Sound of Music on tv, and soon we'll be off to church. My mom, dad, sister and I will be singing in the choir, and my brother and hubby will sit together at the service. A busy but fun Christmas Eve.

It was too cold for bare legs today, so I picked up a pair of black tights when we ran errands. It was much more comfortable after that!

Merry Christmas Eve!!!!!

Ave Maria performed by Michael Buble

We have made it home for the holidays! After a wonderful evening with hubby's fraternity pledge class, we spent the night with a friend and were able to have a shorter drive home. As soon as we arrived, we went to a neighbor's party, had birthday dinner for my brother, and met some friends at the pub. It is now time for bed to get ready for a packed full Christmas Eve day.

Let It Snow by Frank Sinatra

Hey guys! Great news! I'm feeling so much better, and just in time! Hubby and I are headed to a Christmas party tonight at a friends house where we are staying for the night because its on our way home to my parents house. So excited to see some friends tonight and then family tomorrow! We are packed and ready to go, so I better finish this up so the car can get filled and we can get on the road. Next time I write, I'll be at home in New York!

I'll Be Home For Christmas by Michael Buble

I am feeling much better today due to some Nyquil I took last night. However, I have been doing so much laundry and packing, that I don't have an outfit picture. I'm actually working on taking outfit pictures tonight for the rest of the week and our vacation. So in the meantime, this will absolutely put a smile on your face.

Hubby, this would be perfect for Christmas 2013 (ya know, in a place that allows pets). Its on the top of my list! :)

Baby, Its Cold Outside by Dean Martin

Still not feeling well, so no outfit picture, but here's some from the weekend with hubby's family!

The first snowfall in Cleveland

The christmas tree and pretty wreath at his stepmom's sister's house where we all gathered

All the kids waiting to open presents (Note, there are many more presents in this picture than the last)

Every year the guys all get one of the same thing and the ladies too. Here's the ladies with our new mops

The guys in under armour tshirts and new socks

The kids don't get the same thing, but they do have to have their picture taken!

Hubby and I with his brother, his wife, and one of our nephews

Isn't he adorable? He was one of the ringbearers in our wedding :)

Hope you are feeling better than I am! Its hard to get things ready around the apartment and get packed when your nose makes your head want to explode!

Jingle Bells by James Lord Pierpont

I'm not feeling so well today, so this isn't going to be a long blog post. We had a great weekend in Cleveland and even extended it a day (so we just got home a little bit ago). I'm off to bed now to sleep this stuffy nose/head cold away. Hopefully I'll be all better tomorrow! This really isn't the greatest time to not be feeling well...

I love these earrings!

Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer by Dean Martin

This is hillarious. I found it earlier this week and felt I needed to share it with you all. The blonde girl who got the half eaten sandwich handled it the best. I hope my kids would be like that one day.

I also hope you get exactly what you want for Christmas... not these presents. :)

Jingle Bell Rock by Bobby Helms

Hubby and I are off to Cleveland today for the Mathias family Christmas! Its always a good time and I love seeing the family. You may recognize today's outfit because I wore it for our family Christmas card. I didn't actually feature it on the blog so I decided to wear it again today!

Turtleneck: Old Navy / Jeans: Gap / Scarf: American Eagle / Heels: Bandolino / Earrings: Walmart

I've been watching Elf all morning, so I'm definitely in the Christmas spirit! We'll be back tomorrow night and I plan to watch Polar Express. What are your favorite Christmas movies?

Hey Santa by Carnie and Wendy Wilson

TGIF! It has been a really busy week, teaching everyday and having something going on every night! I made it and had a great time doing it! And I thought I had cute outfits too! This one is similar to one I've worn before, but saw Jessica from What I Wore wearing it this way with an animal print belt. So I tried it and loved it. I even got compliments from my students :)
Sweater: Gap / Skirt: Gap / Heels: Bandolino / Tights: Danskin / Belt: Charlotte Russe / Earrings: Stella and Dot

Time to get things organized/clean around here because we're off to Christmas with hubby's dad's family tomorrow! Yay Christmas!!!!

Set Fire To The Rain by Adele

I thought this song title was appropriate since today's temperature was 56 degrees! Not that I don't like warm weather (hello, I'm going to the caribbean the day after Christmas!), but seriously I am missing snow. Christmas is 10 days from now and I would like a white one. My family in New York doesn't even have any, and normally by now we've had a storm and probably 10 inches. However, for traveling for the holidays, snow and ice are not good.... so I guess I'm not complaining. How do you feel about snow?
Shirt: Aeropostale / Cami: Aeropostale / Pants: Macy's / Heels: Bandolino / Necklace: Etsy / Earrings: Charlotte Russe

Time for dinner and to take my little sister back to school. She has her last final tomorrow then she gets to go home.... so we'll see her again in a week :)

Birthday by The Beatles

After a day of subbing 6th grade math, I drove up to Westminster, picked up my sister, and brought her back for the night. Its her birthday next week and we won't be home to celebrate with her, so I decided we would do our own little celebration. Plus, hubby's birthday is New Years Eve, so I decided to get a birthday desert (we ended up with mini eclairs) and give them each a present to open.

Here's the Christmas outfit that I wore yesterday for the party. Kept it simple with black and white, but added red touches in the cami and shoes and a green scarf. Besides being cute, it was comfortable too! :)

Time to hang out with birthday boy and girl!

It Will Rain by Bruno Mars

I'm glad I used yesterday to get organized because its a busy rest of the week. I am subbing the rest of the week, have a christmas party tonight, hanging out with my sister tomorrow night, and going out with our friends in Weirton as a Christmas get together on Thursday (since some are doing the next rotation at home or taking vacation like us!). Lots of fun things!!!

I wore this outfit on Sunday. I dressed up for work today, but I'll show you that tomorrow. I loved how comfortable and cute this outfit was!

12 Days of Christmas performed by Straight No Chaser

Since I have the day off, I have lots to get finished. I'm finishing organizing my closet, which will also help me work on packing, and finishing little odds and ends before we are gone for the holidays. Its going to be a busy week, so this day will make my life easier for the rest of the week. Yay for not being stressed! :)
Sweater: American Eagle / Jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Crocs / Cami: Aeropostale / Earrings: Walmart

By the way, have you ever heard the boys of Straight No Chaser? They are an a capella group that's hillarious and talented. Check them out if you haven't already!

Carol of the Bells performed by Trans-Siberian Orchestra

This has been a great weekend for getting in the holiday spirit if I wasn't already in it! Friday night we went to see the lights, yesterday hubby and I did more Christmas shopping and almost finished, we watched Christmas movies last night, and after church today I did some more baking with two girl friends. Its such a happy time of year and I love it! I was feeling festive so I went with a green and white striped sweater today... maybe I'll add a red scarf and wear it for Christmas!
Sweater: Old Navy / Pants: JCPenney / Heels: Bandolino / Scarf: Peebles / Earrings: Stella and Dot / Glasses: Burberry

Are you in the holiday spirit?
