C'Mon by Ke$ha

This warm weather we're having is amazing, however its coming to an end tonight. Spring cleaning is so much better when the windows are open with the fresh air coming in. And with spring cleaning, our little Christmas tree finally came down. I had taken the ornaments off when we got back from our vacation, but the tree and the lights stayed up. At least its not February yet! Now the tree is down and our blooming paper whites are in its place.
Shirt: Old Navy / Jeans: American Eagle / Sneakers: Puma / Earrings: Walmart

So I love this baseball tee. I now have four of them, in purple, pink, yellow, and green. They fit me perfectly and I've just always loved baseball tees. They're a laid back, casual shirt, but I'm going to see how many different ways I can style them. This is how I wore the purple one to lunch and the movie on Saturday. It was perfect for a fun afternoon with hubby.

Sweet Nothing by Calvin Harris

Happy Tuesday! It is in the high 50s outside, after being in the single digits last week, so it is definitely a happy day! It's the perfect day to open the windows and start some spring cleaning. So while I'm still motivated I'm going to get started!
Shirt: Old Navy / Pants: Macy's / Flats: Shoe Show / Earrings: Stella and Dot / Necklace: American Eagle

This is what I wore yesterday at the middle school for Phys Ed and Health class. The shirt is a new favorite of mine and these black pants are as comfortable as sweat pants and perfect for gym. I added the necklace for a little extra femininity.

Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men

This weekend was just what I needed. Friday night we stayed in due to the horrible snowy road conditions and on Saturday we went out for lunch and an early movie because hubby had to work early Sunday morning. It was very relaxing. We went to see Les Mis which had mixed reviews from my musical friends so I wanted to see it myself. I think they did a great job. I expected them to change parts to dialogue instead of being completely sung but they kept true to the original musical. The actors all did a great job. Sacha Baron Cohen was perfect as Monsieur Thenardier. And congrats to Anne Hathaway on her golden globe and sag awards! It's not my all time favorite musical but I did enjoy it.
Shirt: American Eagle / Pants: NY&Co. / Shoes: Shoe Dept. / Scarf: Kohl's / Earrings: Stella and Dot

This outfit is what I wore to school on Friday. I was perfectly warm and comfortable, sporting the colors of our flag, and thankfully so. We had a 2 hour early dismissal but it took me longer than 2 hours to get home! It normally takes 30 minutes but due to the snow that just kept coming the roads were a mess!

You're Gonna Miss Me by Lulu and the Lampshades

My weekend has basically started. We are having an early dismissal shortly so this planning period I'm in is the last thing of my day. I'm glad we're getting out early because the snow is really coming down. It's the perfect evening for board games and a glass of wine or maybe hot chocolate. Maybe watch Pitch Perfect again. And practice the cup song.
Shirt: Old Navy / Jeans: American Eagle / Shoes: TOMS / Earrings: NY&Co.

Sweatshirt: Gap

Yesterday I decided to layer my new favorite pink baseball tee and pink sweatshirt. I realize they're not the same color pink but it doesn't really matter. It's been so cold lately that the more layers the better. And if you only see them one at a time, they don't need to match!

Daylight by Maroon 5

I'm starting to do some research on the Seattle area. We will be moving at the end of June and I'm already looking at houses to move into. We have the option to live on or off base, which is south of Seattle in Tacoma. I have found one off base that I really like, but am not sure if it will still be available then... and we're not paying double rent for six months! I need a timeline, like The Knot has for weddings, about moving! Am I too early or should I start emailing people about their houses for rent? At least I know that I can start applying for a Washington state teaching license!
Shirt: Gap / Pants: Macy's / Booties: Steve Madden / Scarf: Walmart / Earrings: Stella and Dot

Speaking of teaching, this is what I wore to school yesterday. I decided I needed some bright yellow in my life. The black, grey, and yellow scarf really tied the outfit together nicely. It also looked as though I was cheering for the Pittsburgh Penguins for their home opener yesterday... which I'm not opposed to, since Sidney Crosby, Hubby, and I did see a movie together :)

Sure Be Cool If You Did by Blake Shelton

It is currently 10 degrees. Today is one of those days that if I don't need to leave the house, I'm not going to. And luckily, I don't have to. I'm staying warm inside with lots of layers on, dinner is cooking and staying warm in the crockpot, and since the apartment is clean and laundry is done, I'm able to catch up on some emails and do a little reading. Its a pretty great cold winter day.
Cardigan: Target / Shirt: Wet Seal / Jeans: American Eagle / Flats: Shoe Show / Earrings: NY&Co.

This shirt is more of a mint color, which is one of my favorites these days, but it looks blue in these pictures. I really like it either way. This cardigan is one of the warmest, non sweatshirt or fleece, pieces in my closet. Perfect for today.

There You'll Be by Faith Hill

The lack of posts the past couple of days is due to sorority recruitment. I am so proud of my sisterhood and their newest members. They did an incredible job this week. I was not in college with any of the current sisters, but I still feel just as comfortable going back to help them and hang out as I did when I was there. Recruitment week always reminds everyone why we joined a sorority in the first place and its fun to share it with the new girls. The traditions are what keep us bonded no matter how long ago graduation was.
Sweater: Gap / Jeggings: American Eagle / Boots: Crocs / Earrings: Stella and Dot

This is what I wore for Bid Day, plus our Bid Day hoodie. Our colors are green and white, so I decided the mint jeans would go nicely with the black hoodie and boots. I seriously love these pants.

Suit & Tie by Justin Timberlake

This week is sorority recruitment at Westminster. I am helping them out with their parties and the behind the scenes details. I'm excited to hang out with the chapter advisors who are great friends of mine, and the undergrad girls who I have gotten to know. Plus now that my real sister is my sorority sister, we get to hang out more this week too. I'll be wearing a lot of green this week, since our colors are green and white, so here's the first one of the week. Its what I wore to meet with the chapter advisors and figure out our schedule for the week.
Shirt: Loft / Jeans: Gap / Scarf: Gap / Heels: Famous Footwear / Earrings: NY&Co.

The scarf and heels are Christmas presents from hubby. I love mixing patterns when there is a similar color scheme. There is green in the plaid scarf that matches the stripes of the shirt.

One Boy, One Girl by Collin Raye

This weekend, Hubby and I went to his surgery preceptor's wedding (I shared some of the pictures yesterday). We have been teaching him and his wife how to dance together and choreographed their first dance. We have had a lot of fun teaching them to waltz, salsa, two step, and swing dance, but it was wonderful to see them dance together on Saturday. Here is what I wore to the wedding:
Dress: David's Bridal via eBay / Shoes: Famous Footwear / Earrings: NY&Co.

Clutch: Vera Bradley

Coat: Macy's, borrowed from my sister

I kept it simple with this little black dress. The shoes are new and proved to be great for dancing all night. Hubby wore a grey suit with a red shirt and black tie. We coordinated very well :)

Hawaii Family Vacation

As promised, here are some pictures from Hawaii. I took about 300 pictures, but narrowed it down to 15 for you to enjoy. The last couple of pictures are from this past weekend. Hope you enjoy!
Exploring our resort on the first day with my niece

There was a sweet koi pond

We went to the Dole plantation, and we brought Flat Stanley with us on the trip!

On board the Pineapple Express

We found some huge turtles that came out of the ocean to warm up

Beautiful hibiscus flower that my nephew found

For Hubby's birthday, we went to visit Pearl Harbor. Being a member of the Army, he loved every minute of exploring the USS Bowfin submarine and USS Missouri Battleship, and visited the USS Arizona Memorial

War is Over kisses <3

The names of those who are still with the USS Arizona underneath the memorial

Sis and I representing KD at Pearl Harbor

Our New Years Eve family picture!

Beach and kayak day, with Diamond Head in the background which we hiked the day before

My big bro staying dry from the misty rain with his sweet drink umbrellas

Hubby and I with our final sunset in Hawaii

Back to the snowy east coast, hot chocolate is the best way to warm up! :)

On Friday we went to see Zero Dark Thirty and Sidney Crosby (hockey player for the Pittsburgh Penguins) was there too!

Beautiful wedding of hubby's surgery preceptor and his new wife

We taught them how to dance for their first dance, and they did an awesome job!

As future Seattle/Tacoma area residents, we rooted for our newly adopted team yesterday
(The Bills and Browns will always be our teams, but we're excited to cheer for one that wins more)

Back by Colt Ford

I am finally unpacked and back to everyday life again! Hubby and I had a really wonderful time seeing our family's for Christmas and spending a week in the sun and sand of Hawaii. I'll post pictures from our vacation next week, but I wanted to do an outfit post again! I received a bunch of new things for Christmas that I'm excited to share, including this bright pink shirt, Vera Bradley wristlet, and infinity scarf. I love the bright pink color of this shirt (and how it matches the wristlet) and decided to play around with how to style it.
Shirt: Gap / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: Peebles / Shoes: Toms / Earrings: Stella and Dot / Wristlet: Vera Bradley

Scarf: Kohl's (came with sweater)

Jacket: Old Navy

Thank you to all the guest bloggers for their awesome outfits for holiday parties and staying warm and stylish! You ladies all look great!!!
