Mirrors by Justin Timberlake

I have two things to talk about today. First, if you haven't already heard Google Reader and GFC are going away. So I highly recommend following the blog in a different way. You can do this either through facebook or bloglovin. You can follow me personally through twitter, pinterest, and instagram too, but the blog is always updated on facebook and bloglovin. Secondly, on Monday I will be co-hosting my first link up! It is for those in the medical community, doctors, nurses, spouses, family members, etc. So if you are related to the medical world, please be sure to link up!!!
Sweater: Gap / Jeggings: Old Navy / Boots: Crocs / Earrings: Stella and Dot / Necklace: Target

I love these pants. For $10 they were an amazing deal, as well as an awesome color and fit. I seriously have been loving Old Navy lately, and these pants are another reason to do so! :)

Can't Hold Us by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis

We are starting our Easter weekend early. Tonight when hubby gets home we are leaving to spend the weekend with family. We are taking full advantage of driving home for holidays while we still can, and this is the last one. However, we will be able to fly home for holidays, so its not like we'll never be home for holidays again!
Shirt: Target / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: American Eagle / Flats: H&M / Earrings: Walmart / Necklace: American Eagle

I'm pretending its warm enough to wear jeans rolled up like this. It is in our apartment, just not outside. But I'm starting off the weekend with yellow, pink, and green, and am planning on wearing fun colors all Easter weekend. Its spring whether the weather cooperates or not!

The Way by Ariana Grande feat. Mac Miller

It is spring break here this week, even though it snowed again last night and looks like the furthest thing from spring outside. I'm glad this break is here so I can catch up on my to do list, errands, and posting on the blog! I'm sorry for the recent days I've been skipping posts, I'm hoping to get ahead of the game this week, especially since the next two months before the move are going to be pretty busy. And next week I'm co-hosting my very first link up, so check back for more on that!!!
Sweater: Old Navy / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: Peebles / Flats: Target / Earrings: NY&Co.

Jacket: Aeropostale

This was what I wore on Saturday for a girls night. As we were getting ready to meet up, one of my friends texted what we were wearing, and we all realized we were wearing light sweaters and jeans. This sweater has become one of my new favorites. It has neon specks on it which just adds a little something to this neutral colored sweater.

Just Give Me A Reason by Pink

The sun is shining! But its only in the 20s. So it looks like a beautiful day to be outside, but then you step outside and want to be back in the warmth of indoors. Not fair mother nature! But the weather in Seattle looks sunny and in the high 50s all week, so that gives us something to look forward to! In the meantime, I'm wearing spring colors to celebrate the season!
Sweater: Old Navy / Jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Crocs / Scarf: Gift from Mom / Earrings: NY&Co.

Purple and green are my favorite colors and I love pairing them together. You can't go wrong with two fun colors and neutrals to make an outfit. I usually try to stick to three colors in an outfit. So this outfit has purple, green, and black, and jeans are not included in the colors. What do you think? Do you have a rule of colors to stick by?

Happy (belated) St. Patrick's Day!

Happy (belated) St. Patrick's Day! Are you Irish? Did you celebrate with green beer? Hubby and I did with a pretty chill weekend. I got sick on Thursday and am still on antibiotics, so we decided to take it easy, but still wanted to go out. We met friends for dinner on Friday to celebrate the MD residency match. On Saturday, we ended up skipping the parade in downtown Pittsburgh, but went to an Irish pub for dinner that night. Afterwards we went on a hunt to get a movie to watch from Redbox, which turned into walking around Walmart and Kroger till we decided to watch the final season of Weeds on netflix with another friend looking for a low key evening. We finished up the weekend yesterday by washing all the dishes since our dishwasher isn't cutting it (any suggestions?!) and tried out a laundromat instead of waiting to use our apartment building's washer and dryer. Kind of a random weekend, but relaxing and enjoyable.
Shirt: Peebles / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Crocs / Earrings: from Hawaii / Glasses: Burberry

I had to pull out my St. Patrick's Day shirt! It says "Kiss My Shamrock, I'm Irish,"which is a little bit true. Hope you had a great weekend!

When I Was Your Man by Bruno Mars

Spring was here this weekend! Its leaving tonight and headed back to the 30s, but not having to wear a jacket to be outside this weekend was pretty awesome. But what I really want to talk about is The Bachelor finale!!! Did you watch last night? Sean picked Catherine!!! He had some great girls and he fell in love with the one from Seattle. I'm hoping to run into them sometime after we move :) But really, I'm very happy for them and hope they can make it work. Also, huge congrats to the newest bachelorette, Des!!! I was hoping it would be her, Lindsay, Lesley, or Kacie B, so I'm excited to watch her upcoming season!
Shirt: American Eagle / Jeans: American Eagle / Flats: Shoe Show / Cardigan: Peebles / Earrings: NY&Co.

The warm weather this weekend meant short sleeves! I wore this ribbon shirt in Hawaii after I got it for Christmas, but finally decided it was warm enough to wear it here too, with a cardigan. I kept it simple with black accessories and jeans for a casual weekend, but can definitely imagine the possibilities of outfits this shirt has.

Grow Old With You by Adam Sandler

My sister is spending the weekend with us. Tonight we are going to see the musical version of The Wedding Singer. The school where I student taught is putting it on and since I became friends with my co-operating teacher and the other musical directors, we are going to visit. Plus I've never seen the musical version and really want to see it!
Cardigan: Old Navy / Cami: Aeropostale / Pants: Macy's / Flats: Shoe Show / Earrings: NY&Co.

This outfit is a perfect example of my cold weather teaching uniform. I typically pick out a pair of dress pants and a warm sweater, usually a pair of thick socks and flats, and maybe add a scarf. When I'm subbing I don't know if the classroom is going to be warm or cold, and I'm usually cold, so I try to dress as warm as I can. This outfit kept me comfortable at school.

This is my new eShakti dress! I've always wanted a one shoulder dress and I was really excited when I saw this one on their website. I customized the length to just above the knees. The dark green color is gorgeous and will match Hubby's medical graduation hood, so I think its a great choice to wear to graduation! We also have a few weddings to attend this year, so it'll definitely get some use!

Wagon Wheel by Darius Rucker

When I woke up this morning, I heard birds chirping outside my window. I thought to myself, spring really is here! Then I remembered that the snowstorm Saturn is headed our direction today and is expected to dump snow on West Virginia tonight and tomorrow. Its mostly dumping on the southern part of the state, but we'll still get enough that a snow day tomorrow is a possibility. So I'm going to get ready and enjoy my half day of subbing middle school English while there isn't any snow yet!
Shirt: Johns Hopkins University / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: American Eagle / Shoes: Sperry / Earrings: NY&Co. / Glasses: Burberry

Don't let this outfit fool you, it is not warm enough for rolled up jeans and t-shirts. This outfit is what I wore around the house yesterday as I unpacked from the weekend and cleaned the apartment. When the heat is on, its comfortable to wear this, but step outside and it is not. So I changed into sweatpants and added a zip up hoodie for dance last night, but I thought this was a cute, comfy work around the house outfit. Plus, I wanted to share my new Johns Hopkins t-shirt that I bought last weekend in Baltimore! :)

Stay by Rihanna

This weekend was a relaxing one with my family. We picked up my sister for her spring break on Friday and went home to NY. It was a weekend of sleeping in, helping out around the house, doing laundry, hanging out with the family, drinking wine, and watching movies. Since my dad is home from the hospital, he and hubby discussed his hospital visit, medications, and what it really all means. Its Medical Monday over at Your Doctor's Wife, and I have to say that a huge benefit of hubby's career choice is when he can have these discussions. He was very helpful to better explain what was going on while my dad was in the hospital. I'm so proud of all that he has learned in school and am so excited that graduation is less than three months away!!!
Shirt: Old Navy / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Famous Footwear / Earrings: NY&Co.

It was a cold, snowy weekend, so boots were a must. And baseball tees and jeans are comfortable, so this outfit was the perfect combination for our relaxing weekend at home.
And here a few snapshots from the weekend:
Moscato for me, Chardonnay for my mom, and Sparkling grape juice for my sister.

Lunch with the family at Applebee's

Serious nachos!

Hey Porsche by Nelly

It's the first day of March, which means 20 days till the start of spring!!! I'm so excited, I decided to celebrate with a bright pink cardigan! I'm subbing Phys Ed again today so these dress pants that feel like sweatpants are the perfect choice. After school, hubby and I are packing up, picking up my sister, and headed home for the weekend!
Cardigan: Old Navy / Cami: Aeropostale / Pants: Macy's / Flats: Shoe Show / Earrings: Stella and Dot

Purse: Vera Bradley, Night and Day

I love that the classic black and white combo are the "it" look right now. This purse fits that perfectly and looked great with this outfit. I always think a brightly colored and designed Vera Bradley bag can make an outfit come together.
