Lost photos

I realized when I was looking through posts on the blog that there were outfit pictures I took that ended up in drafts and never posted. They were never posted because I didn't have the time to write anything to go with the pictures. So I decided that before I get into current topics and outfit pictures, I'd share some of the old ones that never made it out! Just a little nostalgia (maybe for my pre-pregnancy body, lol) of some things I have worn in the past year, all taken from the old townhouse, not the new house.

Clarity by Zedd

Happy belated Fathers Day to all the Dad's out there! I'm excited that mine will be here this afternoon to be able to celebrate, since they were in Montana yesterday on their way here. Yes, my parents are visiting! They have always helped us move in the past, and didn't really this time, but when you have packers and movers, you don't need much extra help. So they are driving my car (so that Hubby and I could split the driving in his) and planning to help us with the stuff that isn't finished around here yet. And after another trip to IKEA this morning, we might have some building to do when they get here! :)
Shirt: Wet Seal / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: Peebles / Shoes: Clarks / Sweater: Ralph Lauren / Earrings: Stella and Dot

This outfit was for one of the last cooler days in Weirton, and final day of the dance competition. It was perfect since we did a little walking outside after my dancers were done and before the awards ceremony. This weekend was their recital, which I heard went really well, so I'm proud of my dancers!

Medical Monday!

Its Medical Monday! Its the last medical monday that Hubby will still be a medical student. He is graduating in less than 20 days!!!! Graduation has always been a thing of the far off future, and I can't believe its almost here! That also means that moving across the country for residency is almost here. We have officially been approved for our new townhouse! I can't wait to have a new place that is bigger than our apartment, includes our own washer and dryer, another bathroom, a bigger kitchen with all new appliances, a pool and hot tub, barbeque pit, basketball court, and dog park for our future puppy! Its pretty awesome and in a wonderful little town just off base. We'll be far from our family and friends on the east coast, but ready for them to all come visit!!!
Shirt: Gap / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: Peebles / Flats: Target / Earrings: Stella and Dot

A casual outfit for last weekend. The temperatures were 50s and 60s while we were in Seattle and at home, so jeans and a blouse are perfectly comfortable!

Our new townhouse!!! The one that's furthest to the right is ours. I'm excited to get moved in!

Heart Attack by Demi Lovato

Alright, so still playing catch up on the blog... Today's outfit is what I wore to a friend's wedding this past weekend. The groom and I met in middle school and have been friends ever since, so it was a fun hometown reunion. The weddings of our hometown friends have been like mini high school reunions lately, and we love them. So keep getting married friends. Same with college friends. Being married is pretty awesome, and the receptions are a great time to catch up!!!
Dress: Old Navy / Heels: Macy's / Earrings: Peebles / Necklace: American Eagle

Scarf: Old Navy

Old Navy and I have been agreeing lately. This dress is a recent purchase from there and its a great fit, color, and price! The scarf is polka dots and in the color scheme of the dress, so pattern mixing at its finest. You never know if the inside venues are going to turn up the air conditioning, so having a shawl is a smart choice with a strapless dress to keep from freezing.

Home by Dierks Bentley

Hubby is done with his last rotation of medical school! Besides some paperwork, all he has left to do is to graduate in a month!!!! I can't believe medical school is almost a thing of our past. I'm so proud of all that Hubby has learned and accomplished in these four years. Now he has even more work to do in his six years of residency. He's going to be an amazing surgeon. But for the next month, I'm going to enjoy him being home to hang out with and help get everything ready for the move, starting with house hunting next week!
Shirt: Abercrombie and Fitch / Jeans: Gap / Flats: H&M / Earrings: Peebles

It was a beautiful day yesterday that felt like summer, so the white pants had to make their debut of the year. This outfit is pretty simple but put together. It was a great choice to run errands and meet friends to get manicures and dinner! The brides fingers and toes look beautiful and we're all excited for tomorrow!

Gentleman by PSY

The recent tragedies in our country are incredibly sad, but are reminders to us to not take things for granted. I am blessed with a good life and thankful for all the people in it. One of those people is my dad, who turns 80 today! So Happy Birthday Dad!!! I hope it's a wonderful day!!! Love you lots :)
Shirt: TJ Maxx / Jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Steve Madden / Jacket: Abercrombie and Fitch / Earrings: Peebles

This is what I wore on Saturday to Westminster. After a beautiful week it was only in the 50s so back to layering and boots to stay warm. The top is navy blue and has lacy short sleeves, which were covered by the jacket, but will go nicely with some white pants and no jacket sometime soon!

Boys 'Round Here by Blake Shelton

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend, because we did. Starting Easter weekend, we have something going on every weekend till we move and that means we get to see as many of our friends and family as possible. And we are loving it. This past weekend was unfortunately cold after our week of beautiful weather, but we enjoyed catching up with old friends and being on campus.
Shirt: Ralph Lauren / Cami: Aeropostale / Capris: Peebles / Heels: Shoe Show / Earrings: Stella and Dot

This outfit was what I intended to wear on Friday to school. Then the secretary messaged all the substitutes for the day and told us it was Jeans day for $1. So I changed into jeans, but kept the shirt. Its one of my favorite button downs because of the color and fit. And I always think it goes nicely with brown.

Just Keep Breathing by We The Kings

The orders have been received. That means the little details about our move to Fort Lewis can be made. So that means I need to read them thoroughly, figure out what all the acronyms stand for, and start making the arrangements. Hubby has one more week of rotations, and then he can help me out with it. Plus the week after he's done, we are headed to Seattle to check out housing. So things around here are going to be changing. Hubby's going to be home (yay!!!) and we'll be making things happen for the move. Bring it on!
Sweater: American Eagle / Shorts: Old Navy / Flats: H&M / Earrings: Peebles

Do you see this?! I'm wearing shorts!!! I am wearing long sleeves, but they're light and just to keep me from freezing while running errands in stores that blast their air conditioning as soon as the temperature is over 70 degrees. I kept the outfit simple for just a day of errands and teaching dance. To dress it up for date night, I would add a belt and either black flats or heels.

I'm A Keeper by The Band Perry

Well spring break is over and I'm back to work. Today I'm subbing high school math. After school I'm looking forward to a relaxing evening of making dinner and sitting on the couch and watching my favorite tv shows with Hubby. Sounds like a perfect little Thursday. Speaking of dinner, I haven't done a kitchen adventures post in awhile. So look out for that. There will be one soon!
Sweatshirt: Target / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: Peebles / Shoes: Clarks / Earrings: Target

Jacket: The North Face

I wore this the other day to run some errands. I'm ready for the weather to be warm enough that I don't need to add the fleece jacket to be comfortable outside. I do however love wearing sweatshirts and jeans and being super comfortable, as I was in this outfit :)

The Way by Ariana Grande feat. Mac Miller

It is spring break here this week, even though it snowed again last night and looks like the furthest thing from spring outside. I'm glad this break is here so I can catch up on my to do list, errands, and posting on the blog! I'm sorry for the recent days I've been skipping posts, I'm hoping to get ahead of the game this week, especially since the next two months before the move are going to be pretty busy. And next week I'm co-hosting my very first link up, so check back for more on that!!!
Sweater: Old Navy / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: Peebles / Flats: Target / Earrings: NY&Co.

Jacket: Aeropostale

This was what I wore on Saturday for a girls night. As we were getting ready to meet up, one of my friends texted what we were wearing, and we all realized we were wearing light sweaters and jeans. This sweater has become one of my new favorites. It has neon specks on it which just adds a little something to this neutral colored sweater.

Happy (belated) St. Patrick's Day!

Happy (belated) St. Patrick's Day! Are you Irish? Did you celebrate with green beer? Hubby and I did with a pretty chill weekend. I got sick on Thursday and am still on antibiotics, so we decided to take it easy, but still wanted to go out. We met friends for dinner on Friday to celebrate the MD residency match. On Saturday, we ended up skipping the parade in downtown Pittsburgh, but went to an Irish pub for dinner that night. Afterwards we went on a hunt to get a movie to watch from Redbox, which turned into walking around Walmart and Kroger till we decided to watch the final season of Weeds on netflix with another friend looking for a low key evening. We finished up the weekend yesterday by washing all the dishes since our dishwasher isn't cutting it (any suggestions?!) and tried out a laundromat instead of waiting to use our apartment building's washer and dryer. Kind of a random weekend, but relaxing and enjoyable.
Shirt: Peebles / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Crocs / Earrings: from Hawaii / Glasses: Burberry

I had to pull out my St. Patrick's Day shirt! It says "Kiss My Shamrock, I'm Irish,"which is a little bit true. Hope you had a great weekend!

When I Was Your Man by Bruno Mars

Spring was here this weekend! Its leaving tonight and headed back to the 30s, but not having to wear a jacket to be outside this weekend was pretty awesome. But what I really want to talk about is The Bachelor finale!!! Did you watch last night? Sean picked Catherine!!! He had some great girls and he fell in love with the one from Seattle. I'm hoping to run into them sometime after we move :) But really, I'm very happy for them and hope they can make it work. Also, huge congrats to the newest bachelorette, Des!!! I was hoping it would be her, Lindsay, Lesley, or Kacie B, so I'm excited to watch her upcoming season!
Shirt: American Eagle / Jeans: American Eagle / Flats: Shoe Show / Cardigan: Peebles / Earrings: NY&Co.

The warm weather this weekend meant short sleeves! I wore this ribbon shirt in Hawaii after I got it for Christmas, but finally decided it was warm enough to wear it here too, with a cardigan. I kept it simple with black accessories and jeans for a casual weekend, but can definitely imagine the possibilities of outfits this shirt has.

This is my new eShakti dress! I've always wanted a one shoulder dress and I was really excited when I saw this one on their website. I customized the length to just above the knees. The dark green color is gorgeous and will match Hubby's medical graduation hood, so I think its a great choice to wear to graduation! We also have a few weddings to attend this year, so it'll definitely get some use!

Troublemaker by Olly Murs

I have good news! My dad is out of the hospital and back home! He was there for a kind of bronchitis, it was never life or death, just a nasty cough that wasn't going away since we were in Hawaii, so thats why I never mentioned it earlier. Anyway, the cough has calmed down a lot and he's feeling much better. He was there for a little over a week, so we're all glad that he's better and back home!
Cardigan: Old Navy / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: Peebles / Shoes: Ralph Lauren / Earrings: NY&Co.

The cami I'm wearing with this outfit is an off white color. I thought it was a softer color that complimented the brown and the RL design on my shoes. I don't know why I've never paired this cardigan and shoes together before because they are perfect together! The bow on the sweater and the shoe design give this outfit a little bit of shine to step it up from running errands outfit to looking nice to hang out with friends.
