I realized when I was looking through posts on the blog that there were outfit pictures I took that ended up in drafts and never posted. They were never posted because I didn't have the time to write anything to go with the pictures. So I decided that before I get into current topics and outfit pictures, I'd share some of the old ones that never made it out! Just a little nostalgia (maybe for my pre-pregnancy body, lol) of some things I have worn in the past year, all taken from the old townhouse, not the new house.

Happy Friday! Things are pretty calm around the house right now. I cleaned all day yesterday so the house looks great, Bentley is taking a nap on the couch, Hubby is at work, and I'm waiting for Safelite to repair my windshield. This weekend will be filled with more car repairs, since Hubby's car broke down on his way home from work yesterday and my check engine light is on. Luckily I have off from work today so I can start dealing with the problems. Keep your fingers crossed that repairs on Hubby's car aren't too expensive, otherwise we may look into a new car this weekend. Any SUV recommendations?

This is definitely a go to outfit in my closet. Sweaters, jeans, and sperry's are my favorites. Its not warm enough to roll my jeans up anymore, but I can just unroll them and be good to go!

More Time by Need to Breathe

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving break! It was a whirlwind break spending the past three days with as many family members as possible, but it was great to see everyone and enjoy multiple turkey dinners! We are packing up to head home this afternoon, so I'll keep it short and sweet.

The inspiration for this outfit came from pinterest. I have seen this photo and recognized that I had the same sweater in a different color and loved the pop of color from the scarf against it. So here's my version of the same pieces in different colors.

Fastest Girl In Town by Miranda Lambert

Well I think Sandy has come and gone here. It has been non stop raining the past few days and will continue through Friday, but last night's wind seems to be over. We were prepared for a power outage and our school district had a 2 hour delay this morning to make sure the buses and students were safe from any possible hurricane damage. Southern WV is being hit with snow, but luckily we don't live down there anymore! It is cold though, so I'm loving being able to wear layers!!!

Everything about this outfit is my favorite. I love this neon green shirt and I wanted to pair it with my grey boots, so the matching cardigan was a perfect choice to keep it warm. This is one of those outfits that I will probably wear the whole thing, as is, again. :)

We are leaving Augusta today. Its been a great long weekend trip! We were successful in exploring the area and finding possible future housing. I'm thankful to my parents for making this trip happen and I'm glad my brother was able to meet up with us too! And this is the last week of hubby's audition rotations... he comes home Sunday!!!!! I can't wait to pick him up and keep him this time.

We made it to Augusta! So far it's been very pretty and warmer temperatures. We went to PF Changs for dinner last night and then hubby came back with us to our hotel to hang out and watch the vice presidential debate... which put me to sleep. Today we plan to drive around to see more of the area. Tonight my brother arrives to spend the weekend with us. We'll be looking for BBQ and frozen yogurt :)

Fun, Fun, Fun by The Beach Boys

I didn't mean to ignore the blog over the weekend, but I went home and had a great time! After Music and Meatballs on Friday, I drove home. The rest of the weekend consisted of getting a new iphone, seeing Pitch Perfect, visiting with my family, playing with the pup, and home cooked meals. It was pretty awesome, and this week will be a short one because we leave for Augusta on Thursday! Life is good.

I am subbing high school english today and tomorrow, however today's outfit is what I wore on Saturday to homecoming. I love this sweater (the colors, polka dots, and the fit) and it was a perfect choice since its a light sweater for the weather over the weekend. When you were in the sun it was warm and in the shade it was cool, so this outfit worked perfectly.

Headed Home!

We are headed back to Pittsburgh today. I'm actually writing this post from the Seattle airport. Our first stop is to Phoenix and we arrive in Pittsburgh late tonight. We had a great trip, seeing hubby and the base, checking out the area we could possibly be moving to, visiting with family, and seeing the sights of Seattle. It was very successful and definitely high on our list for potential new locations to call home.

I'm sad the Olympics are over, yet so proud of the accomplishments made by Team USA in London! They did a great job and it was so fun to watch. In other news, the temperatures cooled down this weekend, and I was so excited to open all the windows, turn off the a/c, and enjoy the fresh air all through the apartment. I love summer, but constant 90+ degree weather is hotter than I really enjoy, and am enjoying the days of 70s and low 80s. Lets hope they stay for awhile!

Happy Friday! Another week of the summer is over, which means another week closer to school starting. I love summer, but I always get to a point at the end of a season when I'm ready for the next. Plus, I'm getting excited for school to start and to work more. As much as I love a day off, I like being busy and working. However these past couple of days off have been good for some hard core cleaning of the apartment. I have a hallway closet to tackle today.

This shirt has a story. I bought it on a vacation in St. Thomas a few years ago, when I was really cold at a very air conditioned restaurant away from our resort. I thought it was cute and it reminded me of a Life is Good shirt. It says Feelin Lucky? under a horseshoe. I wore this shirt a couple weeks ago when I took my Mac to get fixed, and the guy who was helping me asked if I was a Colts fan. I looked at him puzzled and said, No I like the Buffalo Bills. Why? Well the Colts symbol is a horseshoe and they just drafted Andrew Luck as their new quarterback. So if this shirt was blue and white, it would be perfect for their team! But no, I just thought it was cute and would keep me warm for dinner.

Its a lazy day for hubby and me. He has to work all weekend though, so its nice that we have a day off together. We thoroughly enjoyed sleeping in, watched my friend from my hometown win his semifinal in crew in the olympics today (hoping he brings home the gold on Saturday!), and are now making sandwiches for lunch. The rest of the afternoon is open for some cleaning, taking a walk, making lasagna for dinner, and hanging out with some friends tonight to watch a movie and eat dessert. By the way... can we discuss how its already August? Summer is flying by, but I love fall, so I'm getting excited for it!

Today's outfit was inspired by the one I wore the other day. I decided I haven't been wearing enough colored pants lately, so I rolled up these to capri's and the rest of the outfit came together quite nicely. I even got a compliment from hubby that its one of his favorite outfits! :)

Some Nights by Fun.

We are helping a friend pack up to move today. Third year is done and fourth year can be done anywhere in the country, so he's headed back to Minnesota. His wife, who is a good friend of mine, left two months ago for a family emergency and stayed there to help out... no worries, everything is fine now. We are staying put for the year because we like being close to Pittsburgh, and we don't want to add an extra move... since we'll be moving next year!

I'm driving back today. Its another ridiculously hot day, so its a good time to sit in an air conditioned car.... for 5 hours. At least when I get back hubby and I have a date. Too bad he's not coming here so I could swim in the pool all day.

This morning was spent laying out to get a little sun. This afternoon is being spent doing laundry and finishing getting ready for the weekend. I will also be picking up my bridesmaid dress!!!! I'm excited to bring it home, but even more excited for the wedding weekend! Tomorrow I'll be picking up the maid of honor and heading up to the bride's apartment to begin the wedding weekend. I can't believe its almost here! Its starting to warm back up which will be nice for the weekend, instead of the kind of chilly 60s we've been having... so I decided to wear a skirt today since its warming up!

Remember When It Rained by Josh Groban

Its a rainy day today, which makes me glad I got all my errands done yesterday. I dyed my hair this morning(a touch more blonde than red) and am having a relaxing afternoon with hubby because he came home early! It was his last day on his OB/Gyn rotation and he finished with a c-section this morning. We are going on a date tonight to celebrate! Tomorrow we are off to Cleveland for his cousin's wedding. Then Sunday we have a graduation party for our best friend, Ryan. A fun little weekend we have planned. :)
