It Don't Hurt Like It Used To by Billy Currington

A couple of times this week I meant to write a blog post, but clearly that didn't happen! I did a major house cleaning one day, found an awesome new park with multiple playgrounds by a pond with friends and their kiddos, and watched the World Series! Since hubs is from Cleveland, we are very excited for the Indians! Today's pictures are from a day when Emma and I both had to change. I originally put on flats when we went to a playgroup, but changed to boots when we took Bentley to the dog park. Emma had an outfit change for our dinner date with daddy after she made a mess in her day outfit! Just a day in the life of a momma and toddler!

She loved that we matched in our boots

Livin' The Dream by Drake White

I feel refreshed from the weekend. It makes such a big difference when Hubby is home and not working one or both days of the weekend. Friday night we had date night and went to the movie theatre for cheeseburgers, drinks, and to see Keeping Up with the Joneses. Saturday was our fun day and Sunday was part fun and part get things ready for the week. We started the day with Starbucks for breakfast, checked out the grand opening of a local shop, and then headed to the Pumpkin Patch! This pumpkin patch had so many fun activities for kiddos plus a hayride and pick your own pumpkins. So we spent a beautiful fall morning enjoying family time. You know you have a successful outing when the kiddo falls asleep on the way home! After nap time we went out to dinner at our favorite mexican restaurant, drove around to look at fun little cars that hubs would like to get in a few years, and then ended up at Walmart to find Halloween costumes. I can't wait to show you what we came up with! We started with something for Emma and came up with a theme for the family from there. And now we have entered our car into the Trunk or Treat at the hospital on Friday with our theme!

The cutest goats!

She's one and a quarter pumpkins tall! We'll have to go back next year for an annual picture :)

Tractor ride!

We were the only ones and got to go a little longer. She loved it!

He asked me to take his picture here :P

On the hayride to the pumpkins!

A little hand on hip action as she looks for the perfect pumpkin

So many good ones! (I really appreciate that they cut them from the vines and put them in a nice grassy area. We didn't have to worry about cutting them or her tripping on vines)

Success! Three pumpkins for the three of us!

Dipping chips in salsa at the mexican restaurant. She loves dip!

One of our favorites! Quesadillas for hubs and enchiladas for me!

So excited to share our Halloween costumes... but you'll just have to wait till Halloween!

Song For Another Time by Old Dominion

Our last day in PA started with brunch with two of my best friends. After catching up with the girls, we packed up the car to drive to the hotel by the airport. Westminster is about an hour from the airport which is also very close to my sister's house so we moved so it would be a bit more convenient. We picked up lunch, my sister gave me a tour of her house, and then while Emma napped with grandpa and Jen's boyfriend, my mom, sister, and I did a little shopping. It was a very enjoyable way to end our trip.

I love the colors and floral pattern of this cardigan sweater from Target. I also keep being drawn to this cranberry/maroon color, which is always a staple for fall. So this look was pretty for brunch with the ladies and shopping, but comfortable for travel. The last pic is a selfie I took when we boarded the plane the next day. I didn't get a full picture of the hoodie, boyfriend jeans, and Converse I was wearing, but that outfit may be worn again soon anyway!

Ready for our flight back to St. Louis! We had a great long weekend with friends and family and can't wait to see you all again soon!

Forever Country by Artists of Then, Now, and Forever

The main reason for spending the weekend in Pittsburgh was Homecoming at my alma mater, Westminster College. And it was a busy day! We went to the parade, caught up with old friends, bought new Westminster gear, played with the band for the halftime show, met up with my Kappa Delta sisters, and watched the Titan football team win! And after all of that, our band director put together an alumni jazz band that rehearsed and gave a concert a few hours later! I haven't had a lot of time to play my trumpet recently, but loved being able to play with the marching and jazz bands.

Westminster's colors are navy blue and white so this sweater was perfect for the day! And my navy converse matched and were comfortable for all of the walking, standing, and chasing Emma that we did. Scroll down and you'll see the second outfit of the day, what I wore for the jazz concert!

Sweater: J.Crew / Jeans: American Eagle / Shoes: Converse / Watch: Coach

We didn't get a photo together like usual, but she's all dressed up in her Westminster shirt!

Kappa Delta alumna! Sisters for life!

Playing with a plume! She was great entertainment for the band :)

Titans win!!!

Since we played with them during the halftime show, the marching band performed their whole show at the end of the game. They sound and look awesome for a small college band.

We didn't go to Westminster at the same time but I'm glad we share the same alma mater <3

Dress: LuLaRoe / Heels: Payless / Watch: Coach

All dressed up for the jazz band concert!

The college kids opened for the alums :)

First time our band director had both of the Peet sisters in the same band!

Finally back at the hotel for the night and somebody wanted a photo shoot in her gorgeous tulle skirt! (Its from Old Navy if your kiddo wants one too!)
