She's Got A Way With Words by Blake Shelton

Before I get to posting photos with my new hair(!), I have this outfit from a casual day at Toddler Gym. One thing about blogging, is I don't post what I wear in the same day I write a post. I do my best to be as close as possible to the day, but it helps for me to be a little ahead of the game. So this is my last before the new hairdo!
Shirt: LuLaRoe Classic T / Leggings: Old Navy / Flip Flops: Target

Cutest little Nike outfit hand me down from her cousin :)

If you follow me on social media, you may have seen a video of these two rocking together!

After toddler gym we had a starbucks date. We had to run an errand for daddy and since it was in the same building, we had to take a quick snack break!

Blue Ain't Your Color by Keith Urban

I'm getting my hair done today! I'm going to get it cut and colored. I haven't had my hair professionally colored since junior year of college when I was in the fall play and was asked by the director to dye it black. I had written on my audition form that my hair color was blonde/brown which brought up the conversation of if I would dye it and I said sure! I didn't realize I was agreeing to black! Anyway, a $5 box of hair dye the night before we opened and I had black hair. I tried to dye it back to blonde on my own with no luck, so the day of my sorority formal I went to the local hair salon, spent much more than $5 and looked like myself again. Even though hubs had to do a double take when he saw me ready for the night! Today I'm planning to get balayage. I'm hoping it looks natural and is easy upkeep. As for cut, probably just a trim but we'll see what happens!

I wore this outfit yesterday. We ran a few errands and Emma had her regular checkup. I'm loving that its cooled down enough to wear some of the new things that I bought for fall! Its so much more bearable to be outside and play!

Chicken and veggies for dinner!

Hubs bought Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin for us to enjoy watching with Emma. She doesn't quite sit still for a whole movie yet, but I love that he did that for us. We'll be watching these two movies plenty of times in the next few years!

Vice by Miranda Lambert

Last night we went to a debate viewing party. [I'm not here to discuss the debate, the candidates, or any of the topics.] We were told the food would be bipartisan, so I made a strawberry and blueberry covered cookie pizza. It was nice to get together with some friends, eat food, and make comments while we watched the debate. Its more fun that way!

It finally cooled down a bit! The high was only 72 so I was able to break out some new fall clothing! We were able to walk the dog earlier in the day instead of waiting till the sun set. I didn't get hot and sweaty wearing this outfit while I wore Emma and walked Bentley. Fall may be here... :)

You Look Like I Need A Drink by Justin Moore

Friday night was date night! Our daycare had its monthly Parents Night Out, so Hubs and I had a night out by ourselves! We tried the Thai restaurant in town and went to see the movie, Sully. Such a good movie! You know its going to be good with Tom Hanks, but it was very well done. I didn't enjoy watching the plane go down since I'll be flying in two weeks, but the rescue of all of the passengers on the Hudson was incredible. I also have a better understanding of what to do in case of a water landing! It was a great night!

Since it was date night I wanted to get a little dressed up! This dress is a LuLaRoe Julia that I recently purchased at my friend's premiere party and have been holding onto for a special occasion. All of their clothes are so comfortable, and this dress is no exception. I put on heels to go with it, but in all honestly switched to flats when we actually went out. :)

My handsome date!

I loooove Chicken Pad Thai. So glad we found our new thai restaurant!

Crash and Burn by Thomas Rhett

Yesterday we went to St Louis. Its hubby's last golden weekend for a few weeks, so we wanted to get out and do something fun. We had been told to check out The Magic House Children's Museum so we started there. Emma didn't care for the car ride, so we were glad to get her out and let her play. She had a great time! Her favorites were the water table (any surprise there from my water baby?), the ball pit, the grocery store, and the light sticks. After that we had lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. I know there's plenty of local restaurants we could try, but Cheesecake is one of my favorites and anytime we tried to go in Seattle the wait was too long and we didn't stay. So we got in after just a 10 minute wait and had a great lunch. Hubs and I split a piece of cheesecake to finish and even got two more slices to take home! To end our day in the city, we found a cute little farmer's market. They had a great selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as pumpkins and mums. I could have bought so many things, but stuck to just what we needed. Luckily Emma decided she was tired enough to take a nap so we drove home from there. After dinner and bath time, it was finally cool enough to take Bentley for an evening walk. :)

This outfit started with the shoes. I wanted to wear my Converse since we'd be walking around quite a bit. Then I went with a sleeveless top because the high was 90! Jeans were an obvious choice, and the tote fit everything we needed for the day. And that's how an outfit comes together!

Top: Walmart / Jeans: American Eagle / Shoes: Converse / Tote: Target

Best $5 tote ever!

This little one is now a year and a half!

If you live in the Kirkland area of St. Louis, you are so lucky.

Setting The World On Fire by Kenny Chesney feat. Pink

So excited its Friday! Emma and I went to Toddler gym this morning and now its nap time. Tonight Hubs and I get to have a date night since daycare is having their Parent's Night Out again! We're planning to get dinner and go see a movie. Sounds so simple, but its a luxury to get out for dinner and to see a movie by ourselves. We need to fully enjoy this weekend with hubs since he has to work the next two!

These are my new Lu La Roe leggings that I love! Last time I paired them with a green pullover and this time I went with pink and a yellow cami. I put on boots since its been raining off and on. Do you have LLR? Do you have a unicorn print you are searching for?

Shirt: Target / Cami: Aeropostale / Leggings: LuLaRoe / Boots: Crocs

Just "hanging" out

I just thought she looked so sweet reading her book. She loves the Pout Pout fish! Also, these are the pants that go with the onesie. It was hot earlier in the day so I put her in shorts, but when it cooled off I thought the original pants were a better choice. And ridiculously cute!

This lightweight yellow rain jacket was a perfect addition for a rainy afternoon!

Now to change into a date night outfit ;)

Make You Miss Me by Sam Hunt

Happy First Day of Fall! Although it doesn't feel anything like a fall day, I'm hoping the forecasted 70s come true next week. It has been in the high 80s/almost 90s for far too long! I can at least pretend its fall with the decorations in my house (If you haven't seen them on instagram, I'll share those sometime next week), but I can't put on the new things I have to wear for cooler temperatures just yet. Anyway, I've been super productive this week and I'm feeling proud of myself. I thought about putting Emma in daycare so I could get some serious cleaning and organizing done, but I did so well during her nap time that I didn't need to. And then I can be a good mom and focus on her when she's awake. That always makes me feel better. It doesn't always happen, lets be real, but this week it did and I'm glad. We also had a fun day at our Mommy and Me class at the Ymca and the Music Class at the Library. Thursday mornings are for fun things to get us out of the house!

My last trip to Target was full of green and navy. They're really great colors year round, but especially in fall. When I saw this top I thought I'd definitely get some use out of it as a transition from summer to fall piece. I will layer it with a cardigan when the temperatures drop, but for today it was great by itself. I also recently saw that Tieks are coming out with a bronze colored flat. I love them! However I don't love their price. That's when I realized that I had a pair of bronze flats from a few years ago. I will definitely be getting a lot of use out of these this fall!

Top: Target / Jeans: American Eagle / Flats: Jessica Simpson

Got our bottle of water, we're ready to go!

Playing with puzzles at our Mommy and Me class!

In the fall mood, I made Butternut Squash soup the other night!

It was delicious! Hubs and Emma both liked it too and asked for more!
(Yes random combination, but we had hard broiled eggs with it for protein.)
