Troublemaker by Olly Murs

I have good news! My dad is out of the hospital and back home! He was there for a kind of bronchitis, it was never life or death, just a nasty cough that wasn't going away since we were in Hawaii, so thats why I never mentioned it earlier. Anyway, the cough has calmed down a lot and he's feeling much better. He was there for a little over a week, so we're all glad that he's better and back home!
Cardigan: Old Navy / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: Peebles / Shoes: Ralph Lauren / Earrings: NY&Co.

The cami I'm wearing with this outfit is an off white color. I thought it was a softer color that complimented the brown and the RL design on my shoes. I don't know why I've never paired this cardigan and shoes together before because they are perfect together! The bow on the sweater and the shoe design give this outfit a little bit of shine to step it up from running errands outfit to looking nice to hang out with friends.

Feel This Moment by Pitbull featuring Christina Aguilera

We had a wonderful weekend in Baltimore! Our friend works for a private school and has an apartment there, so that's where we stayed. We got their Friday night, had dinner, met some of his new work friends, and just had a chance to catch up and relax. On Saturday he took us to downtown Baltimore and showed us around. We were able to walk around the Inner Harbor and check out some historical landmarks of Baltimore and go out with some of his friends for the night. On Sunday we visited Johns Hopkins University and Hospital and had dinner at Wegman's (the amazing grocery store from my hometown) market cafe before driving back. Here are some pictures from the weekend:

Started From The Bottom by Drake

Its finally Friday! Hubby is done with his overnight shifts and back to regular life! We are driving to Baltimore for the weekend to visit our best friend, the one who was roommates with hubby and my friend from day 1 of college. We haven't seen him a lot this year because he moved from Pittsburgh to Baltimore for a job, so we decided to visit him while its only a five hour drive instead of a five hour flight. Its definitely going to be a great weekend!
Sweater: Stradivarius, a store in Spain / Skirt: Banana Republic / Tights: Walmart / Boots: Famous Footwear / Earrings: Stella and Dot / Necklace: gift from Hubby

Sometimes school is very cold in the mid winter. So I decided to wear heavy socks and boots to stay warm. The rest of the outfit was really created around this idea and I love how it turned out! I stayed warm and Hubby even said he liked it a lot. It was definitely a hit!

Radioactive by Imagine Dragons

I love space heaters. I'm subbing high school math today, and the teacher has a heater by her desk. I'm always cold at school, no matter how much I bundle up, so I am currently very content during this planning period with the space heater keeping me warm. I'm going to enjoy reading my book while the snow blows sideways outside. :)
Pullover: Gap / Jeans: Peebles / Shoes: Clarks / Earrings: NY&Co.

This was another outlets purchase this weekend. The bright neon color caught my eye and I love the holes at the end of the sleeves for my thumbs. I changed into yoga pants and wore this last night to teach dance.

Harlem Shake by Baauer

Three day weekends are the best. On Friday after school, I drove up to Westminster, met up with my mom for some shopping at the outlets, dinner, and to see my sister's band concert. Afterwards we went out for desert and were able to enjoy some girl time. After brunch with them on Saturday, I went back home to pick up hubby and meet some friends at the Pittsburgh Auto Show. We really enjoyed checking out all the new cars and picking out our next vehicles. Afterwards we met up with some friends for dinner and drinks to celebrate the DO match. On Sunday, hubby had to sleep all day to be ready to work nights all week, so I met up with some girlfriends for shoe shopping and a hibachi dinner. Yesterday was spent sleeping, cleaning, organizing, and all those other things that usually happen on Sundays. :)
Cardigan: Banana Republic / Shirt: Old Navy / Pants: Macy's / Flats: Shoe Show / Scarf: Abercrombie and Fitch / Earrings: Stella and Dot

I wore something similar a couple weeks ago, but adding the cardigan and scarf made a big difference. And also kept me really warm at school on a cold day!

The A Team by Ed Sheeran

Today is the first day since we moved to Weirton almost two years ago that I've subbed music. I used to sub music all the time in Lewisburg, but for some reason have been called for mostly gym and math here. Well I'm glad to be back in my subject and play a musical game all day with the students. After school I'm meeting my mom at the outlet mall, getting dinner, and going to my sister's band concert. It has turned into a girls night due to sickness and work for my dad and hubby.
Sweater: Hollister / Cami: Aeropostale / Pants: New York & Co. / Heels: Shoe Dept. / Earrings: Stella and Dot / Necklace and ring: from Hubby

This is what I wore yesterday for Valentine's Day. I knew I wanted to wear my red pants but wanted to do something different on top. I've done the neutrals with these pants and decided that this blue color worked well. When hubby got home he was super tired, so we exchanged gifts, ordered a pizza, had brownies and champagne, and watched our favorite tv shows. It ended up being a great Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you are having a lovely day! I'm so happy to spend my seventh Valentine's day with hubby when he gets home from work! In the meantime, I'm going to catch up on this week's episode of The Bachelor and bake a Valentine's day treat! But here's my Valentine to you:
Roses are red,
violets are blue,
sugar is sweet,
and so are you!!!

Shirt: Old Navy / Jeans: American Eagle / Flats: Old Navy / Earrings: American Eagle

I know, I know, this is yellow and not pink or red. Well this is what I wore yesterday. My final baseball tee! You have now seen it in green and white, light and dark purple, pink and white, and yellow and white. I told you I loved them!!! And the matching yellow flats were a no-brainer! I'll be sure to share my Valentine's outfit tomorrow :)

I Will Wait by Mumford and Sons

It is DO match day! Its been two months since the military match. I can't imagine having to wait till today to find out. I've already done so much research on our move to the Pacific Northwest! Anyway, Hubby and I are really excited for all of our med school friends who are finding out today, and hope they all get what they wanted!
Sweater: Gap / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeggings: American Eagle / Boots: Famous Footwear / Earrings: Peebles

I love these pants. The love the mint color and I'm definitely ready for spring! Its actually in the 50s here today, but really windy. However I know there's more snow in our future.

Downtown by Lady Antebellum

It's Friday! I am subbing Phys Ed again then hubby and I are going to my sister's jazz ensemble concert at Westminster. I was in the ensemble for my four years there and loved it. They were hubby's favorite concert to attend back then and now make for a great date night!
Shirt: Gap / Scarf: Gap / Pants: Macy's / Flats: Shoe Show / Earrings: NY&Co.

I love when I have an accessory that really puts an outfit together. When I saw this scarf in the store I fell in love. So much so that I told my mom and hubby about it and got 2 for Christmas! :)

Love Me by Lil Wayne

I just watched Disney's new short film, Paperman (so cute!), which reminded me that Valentine's Day is next week! February 10th has always been a special day to us as well, because six years ago Hubby asked me to be his girlfriend on that day and three years ago he asked me to be his wife on that day. So anyway, I'm trying to think of something special we could do this year. Although the 10th is a Sunday and the 14th is a Thursday, so maybe go out for desert one night and have a bottle of champagne on the other and get cute little gifts. Little things that just make the day more special. Do you have any Valentine's Day plans?
Shirt: Peebles / Jeans: American Eagle / Heels: Shoe Show / Scarf: Honeymoon / Earrings: Peebles

Its been a cold and white winter here lately and I thought this orange and red combination would brighten things up! I wore this on Friday when Hubby and I went to Red Lobster for a dinner date. The mix of seafood and bright colors was an enjoyable break from the winter weather!

Waiting All Day For Sunday Night by Pink

Its a snow day here for school and the dance studio tonight, so I'm cleaning up from our Super Bowl party last night. We had some friends over to watch the game and enjoy all the food we made. There was a make your own taco bar, mexican chicken chowder, pulled pork, chips and veggies and dip, fruit pizza, and football strawberries. None of us are Ravens or 49ers fans, but we all picked teams and had a fun night watching the game. Here's my neutral team outfit and some pictures of the feast!
Sweater: Stein Mart / Jeans: American Eagle / Flats: Shoe Show / Earrings: Kohl's

Necklace: Target

Just some of the Super Bowl feast, set up with the help of my friend Steph and her fiance (while hubby worked in the ER, but made it home by half time!)

Super Bowl fruit pizza

One of us rooted for the Ravens, and one rooted for the 49ers... but we both cheered for Coach Harbaugh! (And I didn't get any pictures of the boys at the party!)

Strawberry footballs

More munchies!
It was yummy and successful. Congrats to the Ravens!

Happy 2nd Birthday pictures and a thousand words!

Two years ago I decided to start this little blog. I can't believe its been that long! I'm really proud of how far its come in those two years. I love when my friends tell me they've read the blog. I love all of my readers and the comments that you share with me. I love that the blog has made me think about my style and try new things. I love the blogging community and all the inspiration they have given me. This blog has chronicled my life and outfits for the past two years, and I love that I can look back and relive some of those memories. It has helped me grow, made me want to be a better photographer, helped me experiment in my closet and in the kitchen, and introduced me to some wonderful bloggers. Happy Birthday pictures and a thousand words! Momma is proud of you :)

Sweater: Old Navy / Skirt: Gap / Tights: Banana Republic / Boots: Steve Madden / Scarf: American Eagle / Belt: Vera Bradley / Earrings: NY&Co.

This is an outfit that two years ago I probably would not have put together. The belt was the main inspiration. It is Vera Bradley's English Rose and has pink, purple, orange, green, blue, and white in it. The white sweater, pink skirt, and brown boots and scarf were easy to put together with it, but I would never have put the maroon colored tights with it. They look brown in this picture, but I was proud of myself for taking a risk with the extra color, that went nicely with the pink and brown instead of clashing, like I probably would have thought two years ago. I really like this outfit and am excited to pair this belt with many other combinations!
