Reasons for not being so active here lately...

I have some explaining to do. I have reasons to why I've been away from the blog so much this summer. First, we moved. Packed up the apartment in West Virginia, said goodbye to our Pittsburgh friends, drove back to Lewisburg for Hubby's graduation, and then drove across the country to Washington. Then we had to unpack, get things settled in, take a few trips to IKEA, start making new friends, and we adopted a puppy. My parents drove my car across the country a few weeks later and spent a week with us. Then things settled down for about a week. Then my Dad got sick from a virus. I ended up going home for two weeks in the middle of July to see him. He started to get better when I left. Hubby had started work, Bentley started puppy classes, and I started becoming good friends with another surgeon's wife and applying for jobs. My friend flew out for a few fun days to visit. Then I flew back home with my uncle so that we could go to our family reunion and see my dad who was now in rehab after his 40 day hospital stay, and that's when my grandpa had a stroke. I was able to see him in the hospital while I was home. We flew back home a couple days later. I was hired as a Golf Shop Assistant at a course in our new town. Then last Tuesday while I was walking Bentley in the morning, my mom called to tell me things were not getting better for my grandpa and she was on her way to see him. He passed away that afternoon. Hubby was able to get a weekend pass and fly home with me for the funeral. So its been quite the summer. And hopefully things will calm down for a while, and I can spend more time back in the fun world of blogging.
Shirt: American Eagle / Pants: American Eagle / Cardigan: Aeropostale / Flats: American Eagle / Earrings: American Eagle

I was so excited to find this cardigan at Aeropostale. I had been looking for one like this and it was on sale for $7! The rest of the outfit all happens to be from American Eagle. I liked the color combination of the mint and the blue, so white was a nice neutral choice to finish off the outfit.
