Since my family is in town, we had a very fun day planned. After getting ready, the girls went shoe shopping. Afterwards, the men joined us for lunch at Panera. From there we drove into Pittsburgh to visit Phipps Conservatory and see the botanical gardens. We felt like we were on vacation on a tropical island for about an hour and a half. It was so beautiful to walk around in the heated greenhouse and see all the gorgeous flowers, trees, and plants. We met up with my sister's friend who goes to Pitt which was fun too! After we dropped her off back at her dorm, we met up with a doctor friend for dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse. Luckily, I had called ahead because they were packed... and rightly so, since dinner was delicious. It was a very successful day and we were all pretty tired, so we decided to skip seeing a movie and go home to relax. Here are some pictures from the weekend:
