Did you notice the little change on the banner today? Thanks to the help of Meg, I was able to update my photo, since my hair is not super blonde anymore! Its always good to keep things updated! Anyway, I am off to lunch with some friends this afternoon and a KD alumni council meeting tonight. Hubby is doing an ER rotation right now and has the whole day off, but is not so lucky for the upcoming weekend... so I'm glad we were able to get some weekend trips in while we could!

Weekend Adventures

Hubby and I had a wonderful weekend at home with my family. It was a picture perfect weekend. We made it home Friday night in time for dinner while watching the Olympic opening ceremonies. Then on Saturday we went out for a fabulous brunch at a castle on one of the finger lakes, followed by watching the Buffalo Bills practice, seeing The Dark Knght Rises, finished with a late dinner at Applebee's. Once we were packed Sunday morning, we headed to the lake to relax with the family for a few hours before heading back to Weirton. Here are pictures from the gorgeous weekend.

Happy Summer Olympics 2012 Opening Day!

We are headed to my hometown for the weekend. Weekend getaways are basically our vacations for the summer, and hubby and I are loving them! We are also really excited for the Olympics to start tonight... so we'll be leaving as soon as he gets out of work so we can get home in time to watch the opening ceremony. Today's outfit is totally supporting the United States. Go Red, White, and Blue! (I even have a friend on the crew team!)

Last night we had a great double date! I decided to be a little dressier, and changed into this outfit. I love the green color and the flowers around the neckline of this top, however its a little extra flowy, so adding the belt gives it some shape and makes it look more flattering. Not sure if you can really see a change in my hair color, but thats a good thing. I'm trying to stay within the same shade, but be a little more dirty blonde than red. I think it turned out really well so I'm happy with it! :)

Today is one of those busy days off. Its full of laundry, dying my hair to get rid of my roots, cleaning my car and getting gas, and regular cleaning up of the apartment. At least its followed by desert and drinks with another couple tonight! Btw, my birthday is in three weeks... and for my birthday, I would love more GFC followers! Can you guys help me out? :)

You Remind Me by Mandy Moore

Its back to Monday, and I've decided that weekends are not long enough. Especially since that's the time that hubby has off. This is his last week of his plastic surgery rotations, which is one of his favorites, and next month he will be doing ER again, which means he'll have more days off! He doesn't have a real vacation again until December when he has a month off for visiting family for the holidays and our vacation to Hawaii! That will be wonderful :) But till then, I have a full day at the dance studio today and lots to do around the apartment afterwards. Here's my bright and cheery outfit for the day!
