Happy (belated) St. Patrick's Day!

Happy (belated) St. Patrick's Day! Are you Irish? Did you celebrate with green beer? Hubby and I did with a pretty chill weekend. I got sick on Thursday and am still on antibiotics, so we decided to take it easy, but still wanted to go out. We met friends for dinner on Friday to celebrate the MD residency match. On Saturday, we ended up skipping the parade in downtown Pittsburgh, but went to an Irish pub for dinner that night. Afterwards we went on a hunt to get a movie to watch from Redbox, which turned into walking around Walmart and Kroger till we decided to watch the final season of Weeds on netflix with another friend looking for a low key evening. We finished up the weekend yesterday by washing all the dishes since our dishwasher isn't cutting it (any suggestions?!) and tried out a laundromat instead of waiting to use our apartment building's washer and dryer. Kind of a random weekend, but relaxing and enjoyable.

I had to pull out my St. Patrick's Day shirt! It says "Kiss My Shamrock, I'm Irish,"which is a little bit true. Hope you had a great weekend!

  1. Go to Lowes or a Sears outlet store. If you can afford it, look at their returns or special order returns. Usually people will return because there's a dent in the back or a screw was missing and just needed to be replaced. That leaves you with a hell of a deal. We got our entire kitchen set for nearly nothing because of returns and it's all the same and matches completely. Will you be taking your appliances with you to Seattle? If you are I'd suggest buying now. If you aren't, just deal with washing them by hand until you leave for Seattle! It wouldn't be worth the money! Do you own your home or are you renting a place? Will your landlord do anything to help with that? Never hurts to ask!

    1. The dishwasher is owned by the apartment landlords. So only two and half more months of dealing with it. I think we need to wash the dishwasher itself. Its connected to the garbage disposal which has been replaced 3 times since we've been here too. Like I said, only two and a half more months :)
