I finally got to sub music today! It was one of those jobs where I started the day at one elementary school and then ended my day at a different one. We did some singing and then colored pictures of turkeys and pilgrims and did Thanksgiving word searches since today was their last day before break. It was very enjoyable, and I definitely did some coloring of my own :)

Christmas Wishlist #1

Its that time of year where everyone goes shopping for everyone else except themselves, but instead they make wishlists of what they would like so other people can buy them. Gotta love holiday shopping. Here are some things that I have on my list from American Eagle:

Good Feeling by Flo Rida

Hubby has a cold. We decided it was better to get some sleep than be sick at church, so another relaxing day. I decided to get out of the apartment and do a little shopping. I was only half successful because I ran into my friend and talked to her for a while which meant I didn't have as much time since the mall closes early on Sunday. But I picked up Chipotle for dinner, so hubby and I are full and happy. Its time to put in a movie and relax for the evening.

Benny And The Jets by Elton John

Sleeping in can sometimes be magical. Last night, I fell asleep on the couch at 7. Hubby came home sometime between 10:30 and 11. When he got home, I moved from the couch to the bed and woke up at 8am, but decided to stay there till about 10am. It was glorious. The rest of the day was pretty relaxed... we watched a movie and hung out. Then we went to dinner and met up with one of my best friend's to hear her fiance's band play. It was the perfect relaxed day after a busy week.

Here's the band... the guy at the piano covered Billy Joel for the first hour, then dressed up and played Elton John for the second hour. It was lots of fun :)

A few things about my outfit today. I wanted to wear a dress, but it was only going to be in the 40s in a cool classroom, so I then decided to dress as warm as possible. That lead to wearing my fuzzy warm socks with booties, long dress pants, a sweater and scarf. I'm in love with this new infinity scarf that I got this past weekend... you may remember it from our family christmas card pictures. Also, luckily these dress pants have belt loops because they are definitely too big around the waist for me to keep them up without one!

You and I/You and I by Glee Cast

Another day of subbing 5th grade science and social studies. I'm pretty good at this. The temperature dropped down to the 40s today and the classroom isn't too warm, so I knew to dress warmly. It also snowed at one point for less than a minute, but I watched it fly through the air. I'm not sure if I'm ready for snow yet... not till Thanksgiving at least. I do love snow when I'm inside and warm though, or completely bundled up and ready for it. Oh well, it is that time of year, and this New Yorker can handle just about any kind of crazy weather... so bring it on West Virginia! :)

We Found Love by Rihanna

This is a good work week! I got a phone call last night to sub the next three days in 5th grade at the middle school. I really like being able to stay in the same classroom for a few days because I feel like I get to know some of the kids. Its also perfect timing to work a lot, because this is hubby's last week in Cleveland so it keeps me busy, and its christmas present shopping time!!! Btw, I love Christmas shopping!!! Well, I love everything about Christmas. But let's not get ahead of ourselves since Thanksgiving is next week. I love the holidays!

Scarf: Gift from mom

I love the pop of color in the shirt against the neutral pants, shoes, and scarf... however, I felt it was missing something in the first picture and decided to add the scarf... which was a good choice since the classroom was a little chilly.
