I Need a Doctor by Dr. Dre

Yesterday it snowed. It rained for the entire drive from Roanoke, VA to the border of West Virginia, and then it turned into snow for the rest of the trip home. I couldn't believe how it changed, and how the roads all of a sudden became icy. Thankfully I know how to drive through winter weather coming from upstate NY, so we had no problems getting home.

Since we got unexpected snow, we had a 2 hour delay this morning. It was much needed since I did not get to bed as early as I should have, so I was able to make up the sleep this morning. I got lesson plans and the parent letter done for the week before it was time for lunch. When I go back, I have some paperwork to finish.

Tonight I have zumba, a cookout with some friends, and The Bachelor: The Women Tell All. Since I'll be going from one to the next, I decided to post early during my lunch break.

By the way, I chose this song for today's title, since my husband is going to be an amazing doctor. He had a reproduction test today, came home on my way out the door and told me he kicked it in the butt. I like when he gets excited and happy about what he's doing!

Here is my casual Monday outfit:

Cardigan: Charlotte Russe / Shirt: Old Navy / Jeans: Abercrombie and Fitch / Shoes: Clarks / Watch: American Eagle

This is an up close picture of the ruffle on the top on the cardigan.
This is the cocktail ring I purchased this weekend for $3. Love it!

Also, last night I started playing with Polyvore which is a lot of fun. I like being able to plan out my outfits, and really seeing what they look like together. Here's what I did last night:

This is close to what I'm wearing today.

This is what I wore out on Saturday night:

This is definitely fun. Not sure how often I'll post these vs the outfit pictures I take.

Club Can't Handle Me by Flo Rida

Just got back from an amazing weekend with the girls! We went to Roanoke, VA which is two hours away. We got there around 4, dropped our stuff at the hotel and split up to hit some stores that weren't in the mall. We met up at Carrabba's for dinner. After dinner we hit up the mall, and had 2 hours to do our damage. We went back to the hotel to change and get ready for a fun night out with our two bachelorettes. One of the ladies is getting married at the end of March and the other not till September, but we bought them sashes, bracelets, and bachelorette dare cards. It definitely made for a fun evening. Today we had breakfast at IHOP before heading back home.

I was able to take a picture of my outfit yesterday before I left, but didn't have enough time to write. So here's what I wore yesterday during the day.

Shirt: Ralph Lauren / Jeans: Hollister / Shoes: BareTraps / Watch: American Eagle

This is the group sitting in the lobby of our hotel ready for a night on the town... somehow we ended up with a theme of purple, black, and grey. We had such a blast!!!!

I think Bravo should start a new show called Medical School Wives :)

Jar of Hearts by Christina Perri

I love Fridays. It means after work its time to relax for the weekend. This weekend is going to be fun. Its a girls weekend... shopping, dinner, drinks, a hotel room for 6, and brunch. I am going to find something with polka dots for the next Everybody Everywear challenge on March 8th.

Friday was a good day in PreK. The kiddos had a great day and we watched Horton Hears a Who to finish out our Dr. Seuss week. We realized today that our class is going to be 10 students for a little while.

After school I came home and took a nap in bed, while my husband took a nap on the couch. We both woke up at the same time (6:30ish) and kind of thought we had slept through the night... however luckily we did not. We did both have a bowl of cereal for our dinner as if it was the morning.

Its going to be a relaxing evening tonight to get ready and energized for tomorrow! Movie at my house with a couple friends is always a good time.

Here is my casual friday outfit:

For the First Time by The Script

It has been a long but good day. Good day at school with the kiddos. No mishaps like yesterday. Came home and started getting things done around the house. Hubster came home and said there was a spaghetti dinner at his school, so we went there for dinner. Hung out with some friends at dinner. Decided with a friend to go workout, which was excellent. Finally came home, finished laundry and odds and ends, talked with my sister about the colleges she has applied to, and got ready for bed. Then realized I hadn't blogged today.

My ear is feeling so much better and has popped a few more times today. It gets clearer every time.

Here is my outfit of the day:

Shirt: Gap / Skirt: New York and Co. / Tights: Walmart / Shoes: Macy's (Karen Scott) / Scarf: Peebles

I'm trying to figure out new poises or what looks best. Any suggestions???

Oh, the Thinks You Can Think from Seussical the Musical

Today is over. Thank goodness. Today the kiddos were crazy. We had potty issues with a couple, a tantrum from another, lots of high school students who did projects or read to the kiddos, and lots of restlessness. I think the newness of me is wearing off, so the real side of these kids is coming out.

Aside from that, I've been having a problem in my left ear. For the past week it has felt like pressure, like when you change elevation and it needs to pop, however it hasn't popped. I tried to call a doctor and may not get into see them till April... I don't know how much more of this I can take. Hopefully I get seen before then or it gets relieved.

Um so no joke.... literally as I wrote the word relieved, my ear popped. I can seriously hear out of my left ear again and its not muffled!!!!!!!!!! This blogging thing is amazing!!!! :) I hope it stays that way!!!!

Well now I'm really happy. Definitely what I needed after the day. I was frustrated with my ear after school so I took a nap and skipped zumba. Somehow that must of helped. The rest of the evening will be filled with laundry, tv (like Modern Family), and tidying up the house. The hubster went to school to study so I get a relaxing evening to myself.

Anyway, my outfit today had a theme. It was roses. I had a rose on my shirt, on my jacket, on my necklace, and on my earrings. I promise I didn't go overboard. Check it out for yourself:

Jacket: Peebles / Shirt: Gap / Necklace: Charlotte Russe / Earrings: Claire's / Pants: Peebles / Shoes: BareTraps

Well I am going to enjoy my evening of full hearing again!

I also hope you enjoyed Dr. Seuss' birthday. We tried to celebrate in class today.... and we forgot to sing the Birthday Song. Oh well.... maybe we'll do it tomorrow instead.

So Close by Jon McLaughlin

Last night I went to bed around 11, and waking up this morning was too early. I've decided that 10:30 is my perfect bed time, so I'm gonna do my best to be asleep by then.  The kiddos were a bit restless at naptime today, which made me sad, because I would have loved to nap then. I did get in my own nap after school though.

We are doing Dr. Seuss this week since it his birthday tomorrow. I'm pretty proud of my planning for this week, since it was my first time planning for this class. Today we made cat in the hat hats, did a rhyming game, and read the cat in the hat. I would have liked to watch it, but we didn't have the video.

Just had a wonderful dinner with the hubster and am off to choir. Here's my outfit, and our dinner :)
