I Lived by OneRepublic

Happy Friday! I'm enjoying this relaxing morning with Bentley before I work this afternoon. He is currently chewing his ball on the couch next to me and every so often it falls off the couch and he looks to me to pick it up for him. I do it because he's enjoying himself and staying out of trouble this way. Hopefully we have decent weather this weekend so we can go to the dog park for awhile and get out some energy. We went on a long walk with another resident's spouse and her dog (and adorable sleeping baby) on the trails throughout our town yesterday which was just what the little boy needed. The East coast is having a polar vortex, but we're having 40s and rain, which isn't much more fun. In other wonderful news, Hubby took his Step 3 Boards back in December and found out this week that he passed and received his best score yet! Also he has found out that we are officially staying here for 2.5 more years. He also switches to the newborn service today which has pretty decent hours so that will be wonderful! There will be a date night this weekend to celebrate for sure! :)

Shirt: Loft / Vest: Old Navy / Jeans: American Eagle / Shoes: Bobs / Scarf: Old Navy / Earrings: Old Navy / Hipster: Vera Bradley's Bittersweet Symphony

Sometimes I like to match outfits to my Vera Bradley purses. Most of the time I wear solids and let the print stand out on its own, sometimes I like to pattern mix with something kind of neutral to make things more exciting. Well the purse is a Christmas present and I recently got the scarf as well and knew I had to pair them. The stripes were a nice neutral pattern to go with the floral and houndstooth of the VB print. Sometimes I think I should be a VB model, right? Lol!

Oh yea, and Bentley wears argyle. Very well if I do say so myself :)

Hey Porsche by Nelly

It's the first day of March, which means 20 days till the start of spring!!! I'm so excited, I decided to celebrate with a bright pink cardigan! I'm subbing Phys Ed again today so these dress pants that feel like sweatpants are the perfect choice. After school, hubby and I are packing up, picking up my sister, and headed home for the weekend!
Cardigan: Old Navy / Cami: Aeropostale / Pants: Macy's / Flats: Shoe Show / Earrings: Stella and Dot

Purse: Vera Bradley, Night and Day

I love that the classic black and white combo are the "it" look right now. This purse fits that perfectly and looked great with this outfit. I always think a brightly colored and designed Vera Bradley bag can make an outfit come together.

Happy 2nd Birthday pictures and a thousand words!

Two years ago I decided to start this little blog. I can't believe its been that long! I'm really proud of how far its come in those two years. I love when my friends tell me they've read the blog. I love all of my readers and the comments that you share with me. I love that the blog has made me think about my style and try new things. I love the blogging community and all the inspiration they have given me. This blog has chronicled my life and outfits for the past two years, and I love that I can look back and relive some of those memories. It has helped me grow, made me want to be a better photographer, helped me experiment in my closet and in the kitchen, and introduced me to some wonderful bloggers. Happy Birthday pictures and a thousand words! Momma is proud of you :)

Sweater: Old Navy / Skirt: Gap / Tights: Banana Republic / Boots: Steve Madden / Scarf: American Eagle / Belt: Vera Bradley / Earrings: NY&Co.

This is an outfit that two years ago I probably would not have put together. The belt was the main inspiration. It is Vera Bradley's English Rose and has pink, purple, orange, green, blue, and white in it. The white sweater, pink skirt, and brown boots and scarf were easy to put together with it, but I would never have put the maroon colored tights with it. They look brown in this picture, but I was proud of myself for taking a risk with the extra color, that went nicely with the pink and brown instead of clashing, like I probably would have thought two years ago. I really like this outfit and am excited to pair this belt with many other combinations!

Back by Colt Ford

I am finally unpacked and back to everyday life again! Hubby and I had a really wonderful time seeing our family's for Christmas and spending a week in the sun and sand of Hawaii. I'll post pictures from our vacation next week, but I wanted to do an outfit post again! I received a bunch of new things for Christmas that I'm excited to share, including this bright pink shirt, Vera Bradley wristlet, and infinity scarf. I love the bright pink color of this shirt (and how it matches the wristlet) and decided to play around with how to style it.
Shirt: Gap / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: Peebles / Shoes: Toms / Earrings: Stella and Dot / Wristlet: Vera Bradley

Scarf: Kohl's (came with sweater)

Thank you to all the guest bloggers for their awesome outfits for holiday parties and staying warm and stylish! You ladies all look great!!!

Diamonds by Rihanna

We are less than a month away from finding out where residency will be next year! Can you tell I'm anxious and excited? Its only deciding where I will live for the next six years! But back to today, hubby and I are going to see Skyfall tonight! I may need to take a nap after school to stay awake for it, but we've heard great things about the latest James Bond so we're excited to see it.
Sweater: Banana Republic / Jeans: Peebles / Shoes: Clarks / Belt: Loft / Earrings: NY&Co.

Purse: Vera Bradley

I was really happy with how this outfit turned out. I started out with a basic sweater and jeans combination and decided to add a pop of color with the pink belt, earrings, and even pink socks! And of course the Vera Bradley purse :)

One More Night by Maroon 5

This sweater is a good combination of summer and fall. Its a sweater which is warm for fall, but it has holes in it so its cool for summer. Add black shorts and flats and you have yourself a cute little date night outfit. Plus a new Vera Bradley hipster adds a touch more color. The sweater and purse were both birthday presents. I'm trying to space out wearing my new things from my birthday and back to school shopping, and pairing outfits with my new purses!
Sweater: American Eagle / Cami: Aeropostale / Shorts: Old Navy / Flats: Shoe Show / Earrings: NY&Co.

Purse: Vera Bradley

Have a wonderful friday!

A Day In The Life by The Beatles

Its back to regular life again this week. Back to teaching dance and running errands, and its sort of the last week of summer. Schools around us either start this week or next, so I'll get back to subbing after a few weeks have gone by and teachers are sick or need a day off for some reason or other. Its been a pretty good summer, but I'm ready for a change of pace and temperature. I'm also getting excited for our upcoming trips to Tacoma, WA and Augusta, GA, and to find out where we will be living next year!
Tank: Old Navy / Jeans: Peebles / Shoes: Toms / Scarf: Old Navy / Earrings: American Eagle

Purse: Vera Bradley

This purse is one of my birthday presents from hubby and the scarf is from my mom. I love this VB pattern and was really excited that it matched the scarf. Its also a nice transition outfit for summer to fall!

Can't Help Falling In Love by A*Teens

We are in Cleveland today for hubby's cousin's wedding. I love weddings and I know this will be a fun one! I'm really excited about the dress I'm wearing for the wedding. Its from eshakti. They contacted me a couple weeks ago to do a product review for them, and I was very excited to! They are a clothing line that is completely online and do custom fitting and sizing. I picked Her fifties sundress in red in a size 2. It arrived on Wednesday, in perfect time for the wedding. Here it is:
Dress: eShakti / Heels: Macy's / Necklace: Stella and Dot / Earrings: NY&Co.

Pashmena: gift from mom / Clutch: Vera Bradley

I absolutely love it! Its a fun, full skirt, and fits like a glove. It also has pockets, and who doesn't love a dress with pockets?! They were easy to work with and their products are awesome. I love that you can customize the length of their dresses... because sometimes you find one you love and its too short or too long, and they will make it the way you want. I highly recommend you check them out!

Look how nicely hubby and I matched! :)

We had lots of alumnae come for our mingle with the undergrads, dinner, and cheering on the girls for Sing n Swing.... plus Kappa Delta won!!!!!!! Hubby's fraternity also won for the guys, so it was a pretty great night! I plan to post some pictures of the weekend tomorrow, including video of the winning performances. Here's what I wore:
Shirt: Loft / Jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Steve Madden / Scarf: American Eagle / Watch: American Eagle

Peacoat: Target

Its the perfect Sunday to be lazy, and that's what hubby and I intend to do. :)
And we're supposed to get snow tonight?! What's up with that?
