I Lived by OneRepublic

Happy Friday! I'm enjoying this relaxing morning with Bentley before I work this afternoon. He is currently chewing his ball on the couch next to me and every so often it falls off the couch and he looks to me to pick it up for him. I do it because he's enjoying himself and staying out of trouble this way. Hopefully we have decent weather this weekend so we can go to the dog park for awhile and get out some energy. We went on a long walk with another resident's spouse and her dog (and adorable sleeping baby) on the trails throughout our town yesterday which was just what the little boy needed. The East coast is having a polar vortex, but we're having 40s and rain, which isn't much more fun. In other wonderful news, Hubby took his Step 3 Boards back in December and found out this week that he passed and received his best score yet! Also he has found out that we are officially staying here for 2.5 more years. He also switches to the newborn service today which has pretty decent hours so that will be wonderful! There will be a date night this weekend to celebrate for sure! :)

Shirt: Loft / Vest: Old Navy / Jeans: American Eagle / Shoes: Bobs / Scarf: Old Navy / Earrings: Old Navy / Hipster: Vera Bradley's Bittersweet Symphony

Sometimes I like to match outfits to my Vera Bradley purses. Most of the time I wear solids and let the print stand out on its own, sometimes I like to pattern mix with something kind of neutral to make things more exciting. Well the purse is a Christmas present and I recently got the scarf as well and knew I had to pair them. The stripes were a nice neutral pattern to go with the floral and houndstooth of the VB print. Sometimes I think I should be a VB model, right? Lol!

Oh yea, and Bentley wears argyle. Very well if I do say so myself :)

Suit & Tie by Justin Timberlake

This week is sorority recruitment at Westminster. I am helping them out with their parties and the behind the scenes details. I'm excited to hang out with the chapter advisors who are great friends of mine, and the undergrad girls who I have gotten to know. Plus now that my real sister is my sorority sister, we get to hang out more this week too. I'll be wearing a lot of green this week, since our colors are green and white, so here's the first one of the week. Its what I wore to meet with the chapter advisors and figure out our schedule for the week.
Shirt: Loft / Jeans: Gap / Scarf: Gap / Heels: Famous Footwear / Earrings: NY&Co.

The scarf and heels are Christmas presents from hubby. I love mixing patterns when there is a similar color scheme. There is green in the plaid scarf that matches the stripes of the shirt.

Merry belated Christmas!

Merry Christmas!!! I can't believe that its been a week since I last posted. That was not on purpose at all. But anyway, I have arrived in Hawaii, it is currently 11pm, we have unpacked, and I realized that we have free internet, so its time to make use of it! Since I was a bit of a slacker this week, here is my Christmas outfit! We had three great Christmas celebrations which I'll share with you tomorrow.
Shirt: Loft / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Famous Footwear / Scarf: Abercrombie and Fitch / Earrings: Walmart

I normally wear green for Christmas, because I have so much of it, but this year I switched it up a bit and pulled out the red from my closet. I really think everything about this outfit screams Christmas and winter... and we sure did get winter in upstate NY! I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to fly out this morning, but luckily we did! As much as I like the snow, I'm very much looking forward to putting my toes in the sand tomorrow!

It's The End Of The World by R.E.M.

Last night as hubby and I were driving back from shopping, Its The End of The World came on the radio, so we turned it up and sang along. I'm glad to say it isn't the end of the world and Christmas, our Hawaiian vacation, and New Years are still coming! Yay!!!! Today after we finish packing the car, we are headed for our first Christmas destination of Cleveland. With that said, I'm going to get back to getting things ready!
Shirt: Loft / Skinny Jeans: Delia's / Boots: Crocs / Scarf: Honeymoon gift / Earrings: NY&Co.

Jacket: Columbia

I had no idea what to wear yesterday after I had just put together a bunch of outfits to pack for Christmas and vacation. However, this outfit came together very nicely. I usually tend to keep to three colors in an outfit, but I think the red and blue go together nicely against the black and white neutrals.

Match Day Eve

Fingers crossed! We may find out match tonight at midnight! Or we will find out sometime during the day or not till Friday. The different military branches were told different things, so we're just expecting to know by the end of the week. We would be so happy at either one of our first two choices, so keep those fingers crossed and those prayers coming!
Shirt: Loft / Pants: NY&Co. / Shoes: Shoe Show / Scarf: American Eagle / Earrings: Walmart

This is what I wore to school yesterday. Similar to another outfit I wore with these pants and shirt, but I changed out the scarf and think I like it a little better. Its a nice little holiday outfit!

Diamonds by Rihanna

We are less than a month away from finding out where residency will be next year! Can you tell I'm anxious and excited? Its only deciding where I will live for the next six years! But back to today, hubby and I are going to see Skyfall tonight! I may need to take a nap after school to stay awake for it, but we've heard great things about the latest James Bond so we're excited to see it.
Sweater: Banana Republic / Jeans: Peebles / Shoes: Clarks / Belt: Loft / Earrings: NY&Co.

Purse: Vera Bradley

I was really happy with how this outfit turned out. I started out with a basic sweater and jeans combination and decided to add a pop of color with the pink belt, earrings, and even pink socks! And of course the Vera Bradley purse :)

I Found You by The Wanted

Happy Veteran's Day! First, I want to recognize my father who was in the Navy and my husband who is in the Army and all the other wonderful people who have served our country. Thank you for all that you have done! Secondly, we had a great weekend! My parents came down and we had time to just relax and do what we wanted. We ate at our favorite burger restaurant, bought a few pieces at the Fiestaware outlet, shopped at IKEA for 2 hours, went to see the Festival of Lights at Oglebay Resort, and went to my sister's concert choir concert at Westminster. It was fun and relaxing, and I'm getting excited for the holidays!!!

This outfit was created because I wanted to wear the classic white tee and jeans and I'm in love with the yellow infinity scarf. I'm all about basics with fun accessories. Now its back to laundry, braving the wind to run errands, finishing my mom's amazing Mexican soup, and teaching dance. :)

Fun, Fun, Fun by The Beach Boys

I didn't mean to ignore the blog over the weekend, but I went home and had a great time! After Music and Meatballs on Friday, I drove home. The rest of the weekend consisted of getting a new iphone, seeing Pitch Perfect, visiting with my family, playing with the pup, and home cooked meals. It was pretty awesome, and this week will be a short one because we leave for Augusta on Thursday! Life is good.
Shirt: Loft / Cardigan: Banana Republic / Jeans: Gap / Heels: Shoe Show / Earrings: Etsy / Necklace: American Eagle

I wondered if this cardigan would match the stripes on this shirt, and I was right. Green is always my go to color :)

Live While We're Young by One Direction

Good news! My game plan of sleeping the day away after school yesterday worked. I am feeling much better today! However today I need to catch up on the things I haven't done around the apartment the past few days, including washing dishes and doing laundry. I am glad to have a day off to play catch up before dance tonight.
Sweater: Loft / Pants: Macy's / Flats: Shoe Show / Belt: Charlotte Russe / Earrings: NY&Co.

I am wearing a black belt over the sweater in this picture. Since I took these pictures in the morning before school, there wasn't any sunlight to help brighten these pictures. However this sweater is in the newest color of the season, oxblood. Could they really not figure out a better name for this color?!

The Rose by Janis Joplin

It is Homecoming weekend at Westminster and I am loving seeing old friends and playing in the alumni band and jazz band tonight. Westminster will always feel like a second home, but it makes a big difference when all the people who went there with you are there too. I wish hubby was here too, but I think things are going pretty well in Augusta! Only 2 more weeks till I get to go to Georgia and visit!!!

Shirt: Loft / Pants: NY&Co. / Heels: Shoe Show / Earrings: Seattle's Public Market / Scarf: Walmart

This is what I wore yesterday to work. The scarf is perfect for fall, so I decided to bring out the red and brown tones in the rest of the outfit, and its the first time I'm able to wear these new red pants!!!

A Thousand Years by Christina Perri

Its back to a regular week for me. It is officially fall too because it has drastically cooled down around here, so I'm really glad I got this new scarf! I saw it when I got off the elevator coming down from the top of the Space Needle into the gift shop and fell in love with the color. Its such a pretty shade of purple, so it came home with me... thanks mom! :)

Happy Fall and Have a great Monday!

Wanted by Hunter Hayes

We made it home last night with no problems. My mom and dad stayed the night and drove back home today. There's always something nice about being back at home, even though you enjoyed the vacation and would still like to be there. The whole trip went really well and makes finding out where we're going for residency even more exciting! However we have to wait till December to find out.... so we'll be on pins and needles till then!
Shirt: Loft / Jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Famous Footwear / Earrings: Walmart

Jacket: Aeropostale

I brought this coat along in case it got cold at night. I only wore it a few times, but was really glad to have it when we got back last night!

Good Time by Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen

The plan today is to run errands and get a chunk of my to-do list finished so that I can spend the next two days hanging out with hubby before he leaves for Tacoma. I can't believe that these audition rotations are here. Before we know it fourth year will be over and he'll be graduating medical school! And then we'll be off to the next location for residency! There are days when this process seems so slow, but overall its going faster than I expected. In other news, one of our school districts started school today and the others will be starting next week. This also means students will be signing back up for dance so I'll definitely be busier starting in the next few weeks, but looking forward to it!

Top: Loft / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: American Eagle / Shoes: Ralph Lauren / Earrings: Stella and Dot / Watch: American Eagle

I love everything about this outfit. I wore it to band camp when I visited on Tuesday with my friend. Surprisingly it cooled down a lot that night, so luckily I had bought a new cardigan at the outlets earlier that day so I could wear it when we watched them practice outside. Can't wait to show you that too! My back to school shopping is done! However I'm waiting for slightly cooler temperatures to wear most of it....

Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO

So since we took a little trip away in the middle of the week, I have felt like its been the weekend for three days now. Its been pretty nice and I love having hubby to hang out with! Tonight we are headed out for a Hibachi dinner and drinks to celebrate with our friends in Weirton/Pittsburgh. Its been one of the best yet and I'm excited that the party's not over yet!
Dress: American Eagle / Cami: Aeropostale / Belt: Loft / Boots: Famous Footwear / Earrings: Walmart

I love this little wrap dress and the boots are my birthday present from my grandma! New boots means I am ready for fall temperatures!

I'm a quarter of a century years old!

In celebration of my birthday, I am at Westminster with hubby and my family moving little sis into my old room on the Kappa Delta suite. She is one of the first to move in because she is the band secretary and therefore moving in early to get things ready for band camp. It'll be nice that we're not running into everyone else moving in too, so it should move pretty quickly, and then we have all afternoon to help her unpack and set up the room. After all that, we're meeting up with my best friend and her husband for dinner and drinks... the real celebration. Then we're staying overnight so we can go to the outlets tomorrow! Happy Birthday to me :)

Monochromatic | Everybody, Everywear

I told you that although yesterday's outfit could have worked for the monochromatic theme at Everybody, Everywear, this one was even better! It was easy to put together after I picked out the dress. I have lots of blue accessories, and they match pretty nicely.
