Chillin' It by Cole Swindell

This weekend it snowed a whole two inches! It started Saturday night when we went out to dinner with some friends, continued all night, and didn't melt away till Monday! And the best part was that Hubby and I both had Sunday off and could enjoy it, and give Bentley his first real experience of playing in the snow. So we bundled up, went for a snow covered walk on the trails in our town and loved every minute of it. I took a few pictures because it was so beautiful and we fully enjoyed some sweet family time playing outside and snuggling up on the couch. We are also fully inspired to go skiing next weekend, which will be Hubby's first time and my first time in quite a few years. :)
Sweater: Old Navy / Skinny jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Crocs / Scarf: Target / Earrings: Old Navy

Part of the reason that I haven't been posting as daily as I used to is because I wear pretty much the same thing to work everyday. In the warmer months, I wear a black polo with the golf course logo, dress pants, and black flats. In the colder months, I wear a black sweater, dress pants, and black boots. Occasionally I'll add color with scarves and accessories, like this outfit, which makes it a little more blog worthy :)

Happy Christmas by The Beatles

I hope you had a Merry Christmas! Just like Thanksgiving, this was our first Christmas that we didn't go home to visit our families. Hubby had to work most of the day, but we still were able to enjoy the holiday. I skyped with my family in the morning while they opened presents, made a similar Christmas meal to Thanksgiving, and then opened presents with Hubby when he got home. Afterwards we watched Elf, one of my all time favorite Christmas movies, and enjoyed dessert and champagne. So it turned out to be a great day. And hopefully Hubby will be able to take a week of leave soon so we can head home and see our families, because its always better to be together than on facetime or skype! :)
Cardigan: Target / Shirt: Old Navy / Jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Crocs / Earrings: NY&Co.

I love this outfit. Do I need to say more? This cardigan is so soft and the color is awesome. The white tee and jeans is a favorite combo, and the boots keep me warm. I will definitely wear this again!

Highway Don't Care by Tim McGraw

Happy Friday! I'm looking forward to going out for Thai food with friends tonight, going to a bridal shower and bachelorette party (for two different brides) tomorrow, and having a relaxing Sunday. And the temperature is supposed to get into the 60s!!!! Spring at last! What are your plans for the weekend?
Shirt: Old Navy / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Crocs / Earrings: NY&Co.

I really don't know why I don't wear this top more often. Its pretty cute and I can change it up with different color camis underneath it. With that said, you'll probably see it again soon!

Mirrors by Justin Timberlake

I have two things to talk about today. First, if you haven't already heard Google Reader and GFC are going away. So I highly recommend following the blog in a different way. You can do this either through facebook or bloglovin. You can follow me personally through twitter, pinterest, and instagram too, but the blog is always updated on facebook and bloglovin. Secondly, on Monday I will be co-hosting my first link up! It is for those in the medical community, doctors, nurses, spouses, family members, etc. So if you are related to the medical world, please be sure to link up!!!
Sweater: Gap / Jeggings: Old Navy / Boots: Crocs / Earrings: Stella and Dot / Necklace: Target

I love these pants. For $10 they were an amazing deal, as well as an awesome color and fit. I seriously have been loving Old Navy lately, and these pants are another reason to do so! :)

Just Give Me A Reason by Pink

The sun is shining! But its only in the 20s. So it looks like a beautiful day to be outside, but then you step outside and want to be back in the warmth of indoors. Not fair mother nature! But the weather in Seattle looks sunny and in the high 50s all week, so that gives us something to look forward to! In the meantime, I'm wearing spring colors to celebrate the season!
Sweater: Old Navy / Jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Crocs / Scarf: Gift from Mom / Earrings: NY&Co.

Purple and green are my favorite colors and I love pairing them together. You can't go wrong with two fun colors and neutrals to make an outfit. I usually try to stick to three colors in an outfit. So this outfit has purple, green, and black, and jeans are not included in the colors. What do you think? Do you have a rule of colors to stick by?

Happy (belated) St. Patrick's Day!

Happy (belated) St. Patrick's Day! Are you Irish? Did you celebrate with green beer? Hubby and I did with a pretty chill weekend. I got sick on Thursday and am still on antibiotics, so we decided to take it easy, but still wanted to go out. We met friends for dinner on Friday to celebrate the MD residency match. On Saturday, we ended up skipping the parade in downtown Pittsburgh, but went to an Irish pub for dinner that night. Afterwards we went on a hunt to get a movie to watch from Redbox, which turned into walking around Walmart and Kroger till we decided to watch the final season of Weeds on netflix with another friend looking for a low key evening. We finished up the weekend yesterday by washing all the dishes since our dishwasher isn't cutting it (any suggestions?!) and tried out a laundromat instead of waiting to use our apartment building's washer and dryer. Kind of a random weekend, but relaxing and enjoyable.
Shirt: Peebles / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Crocs / Earrings: from Hawaii / Glasses: Burberry

I had to pull out my St. Patrick's Day shirt! It says "Kiss My Shamrock, I'm Irish,"which is a little bit true. Hope you had a great weekend!

There You'll Be by Faith Hill

The lack of posts the past couple of days is due to sorority recruitment. I am so proud of my sisterhood and their newest members. They did an incredible job this week. I was not in college with any of the current sisters, but I still feel just as comfortable going back to help them and hang out as I did when I was there. Recruitment week always reminds everyone why we joined a sorority in the first place and its fun to share it with the new girls. The traditions are what keep us bonded no matter how long ago graduation was.
Sweater: Gap / Jeggings: American Eagle / Boots: Crocs / Earrings: Stella and Dot

This is what I wore for Bid Day, plus our Bid Day hoodie. Our colors are green and white, so I decided the mint jeans would go nicely with the black hoodie and boots. I seriously love these pants.

It's The End Of The World by R.E.M.

Last night as hubby and I were driving back from shopping, Its The End of The World came on the radio, so we turned it up and sang along. I'm glad to say it isn't the end of the world and Christmas, our Hawaiian vacation, and New Years are still coming! Yay!!!! Today after we finish packing the car, we are headed for our first Christmas destination of Cleveland. With that said, I'm going to get back to getting things ready!
Shirt: Loft / Skinny Jeans: Delia's / Boots: Crocs / Scarf: Honeymoon gift / Earrings: NY&Co.

Jacket: Columbia

I had no idea what to wear yesterday after I had just put together a bunch of outfits to pack for Christmas and vacation. However, this outfit came together very nicely. I usually tend to keep to three colors in an outfit, but I think the red and blue go together nicely against the black and white neutrals.

Fun, Fun, Fun by The Beach Boys

Yesterday while we were at Westminster, I decided to go into town to one of the trusted hair salons to see if they could fix my hair. I was in luck! I got my hair fixed and am so happy about it. The style looks great and I am so much happier than I was last week when I got it cut. Anyway, after a big breakfast at Perkins this morning, we came back and my parents went home. It was a fun couple of days with them. Tonight, we are meeting up with some friends, because its the last week for one of the med students. He's doing his last elective rotation at home, then took vacation to study for boards. So we're out to celebrate!
Shirt: Macy's / Jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Crocs / Cardigan: Danskin / Earrings: NY & Co.

Like my dance sweater? Its just sleeves and a hood :)

Dance sweaters make me want to dance!

I love how my hair looks now!!!!

By the way, Happy 1 year Anniversary to Prince William and Princess Kate!

Stand by Rascal Flatts

I feel back into my regular schedule again. I just need to get sub calls.... however, after a 10 break from school, I don't expect teachers to take off much this week. The weather is in the 40s and they expect a rainy, snowy mix to fall from the sky today... what an end to spring break. This weekend we're headed to Lewisburg because the northern region has to take a test... so most of us are turning it into a weekend event. I'm excited for a weekend in our old town. Plus, they are having the chocolate festival, which I was never able to attend while we lived there, so I'm excited to actually go to it this year! And its going to be in the 70s, and I'm excited to wear my new yellow jeans from American Eagle that I picked up from the outlets on monday!!!! :)
Shirt: Loft / Pants: Delia's / Boots: Crocs / Earrings: NY & Co.

I'm excited to wear my yellow jeans on Saturday, but today I decided to wear my purple jeans. Plus, they go well with my boots in preparation of the snowy, rainy mix.

And So It Goes by Billy Joel

Its been an unmotivated day around here. I didn't get home till 2am last night (not that I'm complaining because I had a great time last night), however my contacts keep giving me problems, including last night during the drive back. I've still been sneezing too, so its been a kind of lazy day. Except for the trip to Verizon to get the screen on my touch screen phone to work.... I'm back to my old blackberry for the week till they send me a new one.

In other news, I never mentioned how great Saturday was! The Hunger Games movie was better than I expected. I was not sure how well they were going to translate the book to the screen, but I was pleasantly surprised. As was hubby, who hadn't read the books and wasn't sure if he would like it, but he really enjoyed it. Have you seen it? What did you think?
Sweatshirt: Target / Blue Skinnies: Delia's / Boots: Crocs / Scarf: Peebles / Earrings: Target / Glasses: Burberry

I love the cobalt blue and sea foam green mix of this outfit. It is only in the 40s today, so our 10 days of 70/80s weather is over, but it will be back to the 60s for the rest of the week, which is my favorite temperature because you can wear just about anything and be comfortable :)
