I realized when I was looking through posts on the blog that there were outfit pictures I took that ended up in drafts and never posted. They were never posted because I didn't have the time to write anything to go with the pictures. So I decided that before I get into current topics and outfit pictures, I'd share some of the old ones that never made it out! Just a little nostalgia (maybe for my pre-pregnancy body, lol) of some things I have worn in the past year, all taken from the old townhouse, not the new house.

Give Me Everything by Pitbull

Good news! Hubby's car was fixable and wasn't even too expensive. And now my car is all fixed up too. I'm glad our vehicles are back in good shape and they were both quick fixes. Now I need to get the guest room back in good shape for my brother who is coming to visit us next week. Although currently I'm still working on our bedroom. I showed the pictures of our townhouse to you a couple months ago, and it was pretty much done, however I felt as though our bedroom could still use a little finishing touches. So I started working on it again yesterday. I've rearranged the stuff in my bookshelf, moved the little shelf to hold purses, and added a few things here and there to make it look more put together. I'm already much happier. Once we get a new headboard and the new art work for above the bed come in, it should be finished. I'm really happy with how our whole house has turned out, and can't wait to decorate for Christmas!!! :)

I love to pair green and purple together. They are my favorite colors, so when I'm wearing them, I always feel good. Which is why when I was personalizing my maybooks, I chose to make them purple and green. Have you heard of them? I found them on instagram when another blogger posted a picture of her new one. I love them! I always write things down in an agenda or to do list, so I got two so I could have both an agenda and to do list notebook. :)

You're Gonna Miss Me by Lulu and the Lampshades

My weekend has basically started. We are having an early dismissal shortly so this planning period I'm in is the last thing of my day. I'm glad we're getting out early because the snow is really coming down. It's the perfect evening for board games and a glass of wine or maybe hot chocolate. Maybe watch Pitch Perfect again. And practice the cup song.

Yesterday I decided to layer my new favorite pink baseball tee and pink sweatshirt. I realize they're not the same color pink but it doesn't really matter. It's been so cold lately that the more layers the better. And if you only see them one at a time, they don't need to match!

I am finally unpacked and back to everyday life again! Hubby and I had a really wonderful time seeing our family's for Christmas and spending a week in the sun and sand of Hawaii. I'll post pictures from our vacation next week, but I wanted to do an outfit post again! I received a bunch of new things for Christmas that I'm excited to share, including this bright pink shirt, Vera Bradley wristlet, and infinity scarf. I love the bright pink color of this shirt (and how it matches the wristlet) and decided to play around with how to style it.

Army Residency Match!!!!

I have huge news! Hubby matched!!!!! He will be doing general surgery at Madison Army Medical Center at Fort Lewis-McChord in Tacoma, WA. So that means we are moving to Seattle in June! We are very excited for this new adventure! And this means that I have my very own McDreamy :)

Locked Out Of Heaven by Bruno Mars

Happy Friday! I'm glad the weekend is here. So far we have nothing planned, but I'm excited to just relax with hubby. We need to enjoy all this time off that he has now before residency takes over his life! The sun is supposed to come out again this weekend, so I'm planning we'll bundle up and do something outdoors to enjoy it. The scarf and sweater combination that I wore to school yesterday was perfect and kept me warm all day.

Today's post is going to be short. I have to go get ready for a half day of subbing home economics at the middle school. However today's outfit is one I wore earlier this week to stay warm and cozy while Sandy was making it cold, rainy, and windy outside. Its still cold and rainy though, so sweaters are in full force around here now. I will definitely be wearing one to school this afternoon!

I Drive Myself Crazy by N'SYNC

I've been looking up places to live and puppies to adopt in both Tacoma and Augusta. I'm partially doing it so we check them out in person and get ideas of the area while we visit since we're not sure when we'll get back to really look, but partially because I can't wait to have a puppy and a house again. However I find puppies that are adorable and want them so bad.... but they won't be puppies when we move and are able to adopt them. Anyway, I'm getting excited for our future and we find out where we're going mid December!

On Sunday I went to a labor day weekend picnic. There was grilling, pot luck sides and deserts, corn hole, and good friends. Its Hip To Be Square by Huey Lewis and The News

This is the second time I'm starting my day. I woke up early to get my oil changed then came home and took a nap. So now I'm feeling a bit more refreshed then I did at 6:30am and ready to have a good day instead of a tired one. So anyway, here's the outfit I wore yesterday in the Thursday Latelies video and out for dinner and drinks with a friend. My friend's husband is in hubby's med school class and is away doing audition rotations, so we're going through the same thing.

A Day In The Life by The Beatles

Its back to regular life again this week. Back to teaching dance and running errands, and its sort of the last week of summer. Schools around us either start this week or next, so I'll get back to subbing after a few weeks have gone by and teachers are sick or need a day off for some reason or other. Its been a pretty good summer, but I'm ready for a change of pace and temperature. I'm also getting excited for our upcoming trips to Tacoma, WA and Augusta, GA, and to find out where we will be living next year!

I've Got The World On A String by Michael Buble

I have wonderful news! Hubby passed his Step 2 board exams, and did well enough to go into his chosen field of surgery!!!!! I am so happy, proud, and excited for him. This score is sent to the residencies he's applying to, where he will be auditioning in just a few weeks! We're getting closer and closer to the end of medical school and off to the next move and chapter of our lives. But in less serious news, here's the super awesome outfit I'm wearing today. I forgot how much I love this shirt, and the necklace is one of my favorites. Add jeans and a pair of Toms, and I am one casual, comfortable girl! :)

I love this top! Its really soft and comfortable. I realized the cream stripes would go perfectly with my cream toms, and the jean capris finished the outfit nicely. Love everything about this outfit!

I've Been Waiting For You by ABBA

I was looking through the blogs that I have under the Blog Obsessions tab last night. I decided to do some "spring cleaning" since some of them haven't been updated in quite some time. Since I have so many new followers, I was wondering if you would want to be one of the blogs that I have mentioned in my tab (since I follow all of you back!). Ok, so today's post is being posted really late. This is because our internet connection has been so weak and slow that nothing has loaded all day. I finally got it fixed, hence this post being put up! However, I was mad with the internet and ignored my laptop for most of the day. So much so, that I took my outfit pictures with my phone instead of photo booth. These pictures actually turned out better than I expected, and the colors are 100% true, unlike how it sometimes turns out from photo booth. However, I'm holding my phone in these pictures. So I may try different ways of taking outfit pictures this week. The best would be with a really nice camera and tripod (but thats expensive!) or hubby taking them (but he's busy at work or studying a lot). Let me know what you think too!

(Yes, this is the same sweater as I wore the other day just in a different color. I miss dance and having a real reason to wear these sweaters.)

I did end up taking the outfit picture with photo booth. There are pros and cons to taking the pictures with my phone and with photo booth. The colors for this particular outfit are better from my phone, but photo booth is not always that off on colors. I do like the blank canvas background I use when I use my laptop and not holding anything in my hand. I do like both pictures... so I might do a little of both to change it up around here.

I'm happy to report our internet is working much better now :)

Everybody, Everywear: Pastels

Today is pastel day over at Everybody, Everywear. I have a lot more bold colors than pastel colors in my closet, but I recently purchased this top and cami, and loved the combination of the two. This outfit was perfect for a cool spring day of outlet shopping with my mom, sister, and friend yesterday. Today is also Tom's Day Without Shoes, and in honor of that, I wore my Toms, but today I'll go barefoot around the house. Its too cold to be barefoot outside, so I'll stick to my Toms for running errands today.
