Mayberry by Rascal Flatts

I swear everytime I go to write a blog post, Bentley needs more of my attention. He sees me typing on my laptop and gets up from his lounging spot to have me throw a ball for him. So I write a little, throw the ball, write a little more. But now he's entertained with a water bottle to chew on, so I can get back to writing this blog post. Anyway, I'm glad its finally spring time. I'm also glad to take on some pacific northwest rainy days vs snowy days back home. I planted some primrose flowers which love this current weather we're having and whenever its sunny I like to take Bentley out for walks or to the park. When the weather gets just a bit warmer Hubby and I are planning to go camping! We got a tent, sleeping bag, air mattress (camping comfortably), backpacks, and water bottles for our upcoming adventures of camping and hiking. There are some awesome places around here to explore.

Shirt: Bought on vacation in St. Thomas / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Steve Madden / Earrings: American Eagle

I wore this outfit for St. Patrick's Day weekend. I bought this shirt in St. Thomas when it cooled down one night and I was cold after a day of sunning on the beach. Tough life in the caribbean. Anyway, the horseshoe says Feelin Lucky, which is cute and fitting for St. Patrick's Day.

Gentleman by PSY

The recent tragedies in our country are incredibly sad, but are reminders to us to not take things for granted. I am blessed with a good life and thankful for all the people in it. One of those people is my dad, who turns 80 today! So Happy Birthday Dad!!! I hope it's a wonderful day!!! Love you lots :)
Shirt: TJ Maxx / Jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Steve Madden / Jacket: Abercrombie and Fitch / Earrings: Peebles

This is what I wore on Saturday to Westminster. After a beautiful week it was only in the 50s so back to layering and boots to stay warm. The top is navy blue and has lacy short sleeves, which were covered by the jacket, but will go nicely with some white pants and no jacket sometime soon!

Happy 2nd Birthday pictures and a thousand words!

Two years ago I decided to start this little blog. I can't believe its been that long! I'm really proud of how far its come in those two years. I love when my friends tell me they've read the blog. I love all of my readers and the comments that you share with me. I love that the blog has made me think about my style and try new things. I love the blogging community and all the inspiration they have given me. This blog has chronicled my life and outfits for the past two years, and I love that I can look back and relive some of those memories. It has helped me grow, made me want to be a better photographer, helped me experiment in my closet and in the kitchen, and introduced me to some wonderful bloggers. Happy Birthday pictures and a thousand words! Momma is proud of you :)

Sweater: Old Navy / Skirt: Gap / Tights: Banana Republic / Boots: Steve Madden / Scarf: American Eagle / Belt: Vera Bradley / Earrings: NY&Co.

This is an outfit that two years ago I probably would not have put together. The belt was the main inspiration. It is Vera Bradley's English Rose and has pink, purple, orange, green, blue, and white in it. The white sweater, pink skirt, and brown boots and scarf were easy to put together with it, but I would never have put the maroon colored tights with it. They look brown in this picture, but I was proud of myself for taking a risk with the extra color, that went nicely with the pink and brown instead of clashing, like I probably would have thought two years ago. I really like this outfit and am excited to pair this belt with many other combinations!

Daylight by Maroon 5

I'm starting to do some research on the Seattle area. We will be moving at the end of June and I'm already looking at houses to move into. We have the option to live on or off base, which is south of Seattle in Tacoma. I have found one off base that I really like, but am not sure if it will still be available then... and we're not paying double rent for six months! I need a timeline, like The Knot has for weddings, about moving! Am I too early or should I start emailing people about their houses for rent? At least I know that I can start applying for a Washington state teaching license!
Shirt: Gap / Pants: Macy's / Booties: Steve Madden / Scarf: Walmart / Earrings: Stella and Dot

Speaking of teaching, this is what I wore to school yesterday. I decided I needed some bright yellow in my life. The black, grey, and yellow scarf really tied the outfit together nicely. It also looked as though I was cheering for the Pittsburgh Penguins for their home opener yesterday... which I'm not opposed to, since Sidney Crosby, Hubby, and I did see a movie together :)

After that we have eight more school days till break, ten days till my sister turns 20 on the 20th, eleven days till we leave to visit family for the holidays, fourteen days till my big bro's birthday, fifteen days till Christmas, seventeen days till we leave for Hawaii, and twenty one days till New Years Eve and hubby's birthday! I told you I had a lot of exciting things to look forward to! That's not even including the fun things we have planned for this coming weekend :)
Dress: Old Navy / Belt: Old Navy (came with dress) / Tights: Walmart / Booties: Steve Madden / Earrings: Walmart

I wore this dress to a Christmas party on Saturday. I've been saving it for a fun occasion and thought it would be perfect for a party. I have some more fun ideas of how to style it, so you'll be seeing more of this dress in the future!!!

Girl On Fire by Alicia Keys

We are back from our whirlwind Thanksgiving travels! Yesterday, due to traffic and snow in Buffalo, our trip that usually takes 4.5 hours took about 6 hours! Once we made it home, it didn't take me much time to unpack everything and start taking out the Christmas decorations. The fall decorations have been removed, the tree has been assembled and lit, and a few other things have been put out. I always save the lights from the year before, but only about half of them work, so I will have to run out and get some so that I can finish decorating today!
Jacket: Abercrombie and Fitch / Shirt: Marshall's / Jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Steve Madden / Earrings: Seattle's Public Market

This outfit is what I wore for my family's Thanksgiving. I'm glad I had boots and the jacket since it started snowing on Saturday!!! I believe winter has started!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! Hubby and I are about to leave for Cleveland to spend the day with his family. We are doing Thanksgiving with my family on Saturday, so we get twice as much turkey and family time! I am very blessed and thankful for so many wonderful family members and great friends. The people in my life are who I am truly thankful for, especially that hubby of mine! :) Really the list of what I'm thankful for this year goes on and on, but I wanted to share that I am thankful for you, my wonderful readers! It makes my day to read your comments, and when the number of followers went over 100, I was brimming with joy! Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your loved ones!
Cardigan: Old Navy / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Steve Madden / Earrings: American Eagle

I thought yellow and brown were fitting fall/Thanksgiving colors! Have a great one!

Die Young by Ke$ha

I want to take this time to say how excited I am that this little blog now has 101 followers!!! I'm so proud of how far this blog has come in the year and a half that I've been writing and taking pictures for it. Thanks for taking time to read it! You guys are the best!!! So, I got my hair cut on Saturday. But you won't see it till tomorrow because I have an outfit picture from Friday. We went to Pittsburgh's Light Up Night and expected to do a lot of walking outdoors, however by the time we found parking we were really hungry. We ended up finding a restaurant and spent most of the night hanging out there with our friends and eating great food. So we had a great night, and saw a lot of what was going on as we tried to find an open parking garage and walked around looking for a restaurant, but really enjoyed ourselves inside. Here's how I layered for our cold evening outside
Sweater: Old Navy / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Steve Madden / Earrings: NY&Co.

Scarf: Space Needle Gift Shop

Coat: Peebles

I absolutely love this whole outfit, and may be repeating it sometime soon. I knew this coat was a smart choice for staying warm as well as the scarf and boots (which are brown and heeled). I love the color combination of white, purple, and brown. The whole outfit was warm, comfortable, and pretty stylish.

Ebony And Ivory by Stevie Wonder

The blanket on the couch is calling my name. I have a few errands to run and some food to be put in the crockpot, but since its been cold this week, all I want to do is cuddle with that blanket. This weather has been very confusing. It was 80 degrees the other day, and now its in the 40s. I think today's outfit is perfect for this weird weather, since its been so bipolar. The white pants are happy and cheery like spring (or snow), and the black sweater and booties keep me warm. I also really like the classic black and white look.
Sweater: Gap / Pants: Gap / Booties: Steve Madden / Watch: American Eagle / Earrings: Target / Glasses: Burberry

Hope you're staying warm! :)

Raise Your Glass by Pink

Dance Theatre put on another awesome show! We went last night and to the afternoon show today. It's always great to see the family too. Now hubby and I are off to a cookout with some friends... first one of the year! And we'll be cheering on Ohio State as they play for their spot in the championship!!!! Go Buckeyes!
Shirt: Victoria's Secret / Cami: Aeropostale / Jeans: American Eagle / Boots: Steve Madden / Earrings: Etsy

Cardigan: Old Navy

I am in love with every piece of this outfit. They really are my favorite things and I'm so glad they all go together so well!
