Uncharted by Sara Bareilles

I subbed for high school band today. We had westtest all morning, so I helped pass out snacks to the classrooms, since I'm not trained to do anything else for the test... then helped with choir for a block, directed and taught band, and supervised guitar class. After the boring part of the day during testing, I had a great day, and really enjoyed doing choir and band. Its always good to enjoy your chosen career path.

This morning I was debating what to wear with my plain white shirt and navy pants. So I took pictures of them all. However, I pretty much knew which one I was going to pick.

I felt kind of nautical today. It has rained just about all day... which can fill a lake or flood the area. Hopefully just the first one!!!

The Song of The Stars

This week is West Test in all of West Virginia. To sub for the west test, you need to be trained, and well I missed the training. I don't expect much work this week, however I had a half day today. I did elementary music, but I doubled up with the gym teacher (who was also a sub today) and took the kids outside. We played kickball... which some grades did well and others did not.

Its back to the 60s this week, and since I knew I'd be outside, I wore a sweater. However, I changed into a long sleeve shirt and put a fleece on because I was worried it was going to rain.... which didn't happen till way after school.

I'm happy to report, that I didn't think this sweater fit anymore, and ta da... it does! :)

Don't Rain On My Parade from Funny Girl

This was my last concert with the Greenbrier Valley Chorale, and I will definitely miss them. (It rained, hence the blog title) Today's outfit is my concert dress.... the same one that all the members of the choir wear.

Its a dress with a sheer overlay jacket.

And after the concert, this is what I changed into to relax with the hubster for the rest of the day:

And here's my sister and her date for prom.... Aren't they adorable? I'm kind of in love with her dress too.

I love the weekends. Today I had to wake up early to make breakfast for the boys and go to our choir dress rehearsal. After a long morning of singing, I came home, did the dishes from the dinner we made yesterday and tidied up to show the house, and had a relaxing afternoon with the boys. After we all took little naps, I showered and got ready. We went to dinner at Ruby Tuesday's, drove around town to show Ryan, and went to a friend's house to hang out for a bit. It was a good day.

I've been excited to wear this new shirt. Its really lightweight and fits me pretty darn well. It also conveniently matched the colors of Ryan's outfit. He's very fashionable and has a classic preppy style. When I asked if he wanted to be in the blog today, he said absolutely. One day I'll get the hubster to do it too. So here's what we wore:

Also, today was my little sister's senior prom. She sent me some pictures on my phone and she looked stunning. Wish I could have been there, but I know she'll have a fantastic time, and I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures!!!!

I subbed 4th grade today which was awesome. I love 4th grade. If I had been an elementary ed major instead of music, I would try to teach 4th grade... but I chose music :) When I got home, my best friend from college/the hubster's roommate for junior and senior year was there. He came to visit for the weekend. He lives in Pittsburgh, so we're excited to be moving a lot closer to him. The three of us were always together in college, so its always good to have him around.

Today I have two outfits for you. Yesterday Blogger was down, so I was sad to not be able to post on time. Yesterday I didn't have school so I went for a really comfortable outfit and didn't feel like doing my hair so I wore a hat.

Here's the outfit I wore for school. The dress is a little low cut, so I chose to wear a scarf to be a bit more modest for school. Kate Middleton made navy blue dresses popular, and I couldn't help from buying my own :)

Somewhere Over the Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz

Today I subbed for middle school band. We played instrument bingo in the general music classes and watched the band concert from yesterday during band. They did a great job and I was glad to see it since I had choir practice last night and couldn't make it.

I'm about to get ready for zumba. Then make some dinner for the hubster and have a pretty relaxing evening... unless I decide to start organizing and packing up the study. I'm partly motivated to get things packed for the move, and partly just want to relax and enjoy the last month here. We still have time, so we'll see what happens.

Here's today's outfit. Everytime I wear these red heels I think of two things: my mom since they are from her closet, and when I played Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz... except those shoes had red sparkles on them.

Everybody Everywear: Florals

Happy Tuesday! I enjoyed another day off, first being productive, then laying in the sun with a friend, going out to dinner for a friend's birthday, and choir practice. We've been having beautiful weather lately, but it seems that we are going to have thunderstorms everyday for the next week and a half. It will still be warm this week, but will cool off next week.

Anyway, today is a floral day in fashion blogging. I love floral prints and was excited that it was the next everybody everywhere. So here's my take on it:

Plus, I am wearing rose earrings, but you can't seem the because of my hair... Oh well, its the thought that counts. :)
