High Enough by Damn Yankees

It is a jam packed day. Mom and I are going shopping for a few hours (and picking up my new glasses... more to come on that later), driving up to Westminster to pick up my sister, driving to Akron, OH where hubby is meeting us for dinner at Spaghetti Warehouse, then we are all going to see one of my best friends from high school in the female lead role of Sherri in the touring company of Rock of Ages!!!!! These are all my favorite things... spending time with family and friends, shopping, eating good food, and musical theatre. Besides all the driving, this is going to be an amazing day!

Every Time We Touch by Cascada

I'm back home, so I'm back with an outfit post. We drove back yesterday, dropped my sister off at Westminster, and brought my mom back with us too. Today we enjoyed a relaxing day of pedicures and looking at new glasses. Then we met up with family friends for dinner. Tomorrow we are doing more Christmas shopping and then off to see Rock of Ages!!!!

Wavin' Flag by K'NAAN

Hope this Saturday finds you relaxing and still enjoying Thanksgivingness. I got my hair cut, visited my grandparents, did lots of laundry (for free at home!), and enjoyed some relaxing time with the family. Again, no outfit picture, but I do have a few things to show you!

This is how I get myself packed for trips. I lay all the outfits out on my bed so that I can see everything and what can be worn multiple times and to make sure I don't forget anything!

This is the tossed salad I made for Thanksgiving dinner. It was really yummy and the colors just looked so nice I couldn't resist taking a picture of it.

I helped my parents put up the fake tree for the living room... they always get a real tree for the family room, but this one is for the fancy ornaments and is pretty heavy. Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas.... :)

Little Wonders by Rob Thomas

Did you have a wonderful Thanksgiving? I'd sure say we did. Hubby and I went to his mom's house first for dinner with them and his brother's family, then headed to his dad's for desert and to see more family, then finally drove up to my parents house and arrived at midnight. It was off to Black Friday shopping for my mom, sis, and I while dad and hubby went to bed. After being awake for 24 hours, we finally finished shopping and were very successful! When we left our final store, this is what we saw... a beautiful sunrise :)

I have a really cute outfit on right now, but I'll be sure to repeat it so you can see another time!

I thought the pop of pink and orange in the scarf was a good choice for thanksgiving!

Hope you eat tons and take a food coma :)

How to Make Cranberries for Thanksgiving

Every thanksgiving, I make the cranberries. Even though I'm not at home with my family, I still made cranberries for our thanksgiving with the hubby's family. Here's how:

Wash a whole bag of cranberries

Cut up two oranges and an apple

Get out your handy dandy food processor... mine's a Cuisinart

Put all three fruits in and blend

Add 1 and a half cups of sugar :)

Put them in the Fridge to cool overnight

Put them in a nice serving bowl and its ready to eat! Yummy!!!!

Someone Like You by Adele

I have a few things on the to do list for today. I need to take my paycheck to the bank (yay!), pack for the Thanksgiving weekend away (in Cleveland and Rochester), paint my nails, make cranberries and a tossed salad for dinner tomorrow in Cleveland, and make sure the apartment is clean, because we are bringing my mom back with us on Sunday (to see my friend in the touring company of Rock of Ages in Akron, OH... more on that later). Also, check out Black Friday deals and have a game plan for shopping with my mom and sister! Hubby and Dad get to sleep in... but I love shopping, even at all hours of the night/morning!
